☀️ UV Safety Awareness Month ☀️
Sunshine can lift your spirits, but too much can harm your skin and increase cancer risk.
Radiation from UV rays can weaken skin cells, affect your immune system, and increase the risk of skin-related complications during or after cancer treatment.
What you can do? Choose the best sunscreen protection
🔹Mineral-based sunscreen with SPF 30+
Physical barrier that reflects UV rays rather than absorbing them, photostable and non-irritating
🔹Look for PA+++ or PA++++
This provides extremely high protection against UVA rays that cause premature aging and skin cancer
🔹Broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays
UVA penetrates deeper causing aging/cancer, UVB causes burning
🔹 Wear light, protective clothing or stay in the shade
