ภารกิจทำหมันสุนัขบนเกาะเสม็ดเสร็จสิ้น 🏝️ 🐶 Koh Samet Dog Spay Mission Complete [Eng Below]

สุดสัปดาห์นี้ ทีม VetVan ได้กลับไปที่เกาะเสม็ด เพื่อจับสุนัขเข้ารับการผ่าตัดทำหมัน ฉีดวัคซีนป้องกันพิษสุนัขบ้า และให้ยาป้องกันปรสิต ซึ่งเป็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงชีวิตของพวกเขา

เนื่องจากเราเคยทำงานบนเกาะนี้มาหลายครั้งแล้ว ภารกิจครั้งนี้จึงเน้นไปที่สุนัขที่เข้าถึงยากที่สุด โดยเฉพาะตัวเมียที่ค่อนข้างดุ และสุนัขตัวผู้ที่ยังหลงเหลืออยู่จำนวนมาก

ท่ามกลางอากาศที่ร้อนจัดและสภาพพื้นที่ที่ท้าทาย ทีมจับสุนัขทำงานกันอย่างไม่ย่อท้อ เดินทางทั่วเกาะด้วยมอเตอร์ไซค์ พร้อมการสนับสนุนจากรถกระบะของเทศบาล เราสามารถจับและทำหมันสุนัขได้สำเร็จทั้งหมด 55 ตัว ในทริปนี้

มีสุนัข 1 ตัวที่ได้ออกจากเกาะไปกับเราในวันนี้ เธอป่วยเป็นมะเร็ง TVT ระยะรุนแรง และมีภาวะผอมมาก ตอนนี้เธอมีโอกาสได้รับการรักษาที่จำเป็นอย่างเร่งด่วนแล้ว

This weekend, the VetVan team returned to Koh Samet, catching dogs for life-changing sterilisation, rabies vaccinations, and parasite treatment.

Having worked on the island many times before, this round meant focusing on the hardest-to-reach, some of the most feral females, along with many of the remaining males.

Through intense heat and challenging terrain, our catchers pushed tirelessly, navigating the island by motorbike, with support from the municipality’s pickup truck. We successfully caught and sterilised 55 dogs this trip.

One dog is leaving the island with us today. She is suffering from severe TVT cancer and is very underweight, she now has a chance at the care she urgently needs.

Huge thank you to Simon for helping raise funds to get the team to the island.

สัปดาห์นี้ ที่เวทแวนคลีนิค มาบข่า เราทำหมันสุนัขไปแล้วทั้งหมด 231 ตัว บริการทั้งหมดฟรี เพื่อสุนัขในระยอง

เปา – กลับบ้านแล้ว ปลอดภัยและหายดี 🩵 Boa – Home Safe, Healed and Pain Free [Eng Below]

หลังจากเหตุการณ์ที่โหดร้าย เปาได้ต่อสู้และผ่านมาได้อย่างเข้มแข็ง วันนี้เธอกลับบ้านไปหาคนให้อาหารของเธอแล้ว อย่างปลอดภัย หายดี และไม่ต้องเจ็บปวดอีกต่อไป

จากสุนัขที่ถูกยิงที่หน้า… วันนี้เธอกลับมายืนได้ ใช้ชีวิตได้ และมีความสุขอีกครั้ง
นี่คือเหตุผลที่เรายังคงทำสิ่งนี้ต่อไป

แต่เบื้องหลังการช่วยชีวิตหนึ่งชีวิต ยังมีค่าใช้จ่ายที่ตามมาเสมอ ค่ารักษาพยาบาลของเปาครั้งนี้รวมทั้งหมด 9,648 บาท เราไม่สามารถรับภาระค่าใช้จ่ายเหล่านี้ได้เพียงลำพัง

Boa has now gone home. After such a cruel and senseless act, she has fought through it all and come out the other side, healed, safe, and finally pain free. She is back with her feeder, happy and able to live her life again.

From being shot in the face… to standing, eating and being herself again.

This is why we do what we do.
But behind every life saved, there is a cost. Boa’s veterinary bill has reached 9,648 baht

We cannot carry these costs alone.
If you can help, in any way, your support allows us to keep going, so the next dog gets the same chance that Boa had 🩵

เรื่องราวของดาว: มากกว่าสิ่งที่ผลตรวจแสดงให้เห็น Dao’s Story: More Than What Tests Showed [Eng Below]

ดาวเป็นสุนัขวัดที่เข้ามารับการผ่าตัดกับเรา หลังผ่าตัดเธอกลับบ้านไปในสภาพที่แข็งแรงและปกติดี แต่เช้าวันถัดมาเธอกลับไม่สามารถยืนได้ เรารีบพาเธอส่งโรงพยาบาลทันที โดยผลตรวจเลือดพบว่ามีภาวะแทรกซ้อนเกี่ยวกับไตอย่างเฉียบพลัน เธอจึงต้องอยู่ภายใต้การดูแลของสัตวแพทย์อย่างใกล้ชิด

แต่มีบางอย่างที่ดูไม่ปกติ ดาวไม่ยอมเดิน และทุกคนก็เชื่อว่าเธอเดินไม่ได้จริง ๆ เธอไม่ยอมกินอาหารเอง ต้องมีคนป้อนทุกวัน แต่ในขณะเดียวกัน ผลเลือดของเธอกลับดีขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ สุขภาพโดยรวมก็ดีขึ้น โดยไม่มีสาเหตุทางการแพทย์ที่อธิบายได้ว่าทำไมเธอยังไม่ยอมยืนหรือเดิน

Dao is a temple dog who came to us for surgery. She went home bright and well, but the following morning she suddenly couldn’t stand. We rushed her to the hospital, where blood tests showed acute kidney complications, so she remained under close veterinary care.

But something didn’t quite add up. Dao wouldn’t walk, and everyone believed she physically couldn’t. She wouldn’t eat on her own either and had to be hand-fed each day. Yet her blood results steadily improved, and overall she was getting better, there was no clear medical reason explaining why she still refused to stand or walk.

After 10 days at the clinic, her temple carer asked to bring her home and continue her recovery there. And then something incredible happened…
The moment Dao saw her carer, she jumped up onto her feet and walked straight over, tail wagging, full of joy. Back at the temple, she ate happily on her own and quickly returned to her normal self.
Sometimes, recovery at home truly is what an animal needs most, when there is a dedicated and loving carer.

🩵 Dao’s story is a reminder that dogs feel deeply. They find comfort in familiar places and sometimes that sense of safety is exactly what helps them heal.

🦠 **CDV (Distemper virus)**
แพร่กระจายผ่านสารคัดหลั่ง เช่น น้ำมูก น้ำลาย และอากาศ

อาการ:

• ไอ หรือหายใจลำบาก
• อาการทางระบบประสาท เช่น ชัก เดินเซ

Two tiny stray puppies are fighting for their lives 🩵
They arrived weak, critically ill, and barely holding on. They were rushed to Lovely Pet Hospital, where they have been receiving intensive care.

For days, they have been closely monitored and treated around the clock.

The good news… they are finally starting to eat again 🩵
A small step, but a huge sign of hope.

But they are not out of danger yet, and they still need ongoing treatment.

⚠️ Virus Warning – Parvo (CPV) & Distemper (CDV) ⚠️

These viruses are extremely serious and often deadly, especially for puppies.

🦠 **CPV (Parvo virus)**
Highly contagious through f***s, contaminated ground, shoes, and environments. It can survive for months.
❗Not contagious to humans

Symptoms:
• Severe vomiting
• Diarrhea (can be bloody OR very foul-smelling without blood)
• Lethargy, loss of appetite
• Rapid dehydration

🦠 **CDV (Distemper virus)**
Spread through bodily fluids like mucus, saliva, and airborne droplets

Symptoms:
• Fever, lethargy, loss of appetite
• Nasal and eye discharge
• Coughing or breathing difficulty
• Neurological signs (seizures, uncoordinated walking)

These diseases are preventable with vaccination.

เมื่อวันที่ 17–18 มีนาคม ที่เวทแวนคลีนิค เพ-แกลง เราทำหมันสุนัขได้ทั้งหมด 223 ตัว
บริการทั้งหมดฟรี เพื่อสุนัขในระยอง

อีกหนึ่งสัปดาห์ของการทำงานอย่างต่อเนื่องในพื้นที่ ทีม VetVan ยังคงเดินหน้าลดจำนวนสุนัขจรผ่านคลินิกทำหมันฟรีอย่างสม่ำเสมอ เพื่อหยุดวงจรการเกิดของลูกสุนัขบนท้องถนน

สัปดาห์นี้ยังมีช่วงเวลาเล็ก ๆ ให้ยิ้มได้ เมื่อเราได้ฉลองวันเกิดของสมาชิกทีม 2 คน ท่ามกลางการทำงานหนัก 🎂🩵

On 17–18 March at our VetVan Clinic Phe-Klaeng, a total of 223 dogs were spayed.
All services were provided completely free for dogs across Rayong.

Another steady week of field work as the VetVan team continues reducing the stray dog population through consistent free spay clinics

This week also included a small moment to celebrate, as we marked the birthdays of two team members in between the hard work 🎂🩵

ปกป้องสุนัขจร ปกป้องชุมชน 🩵 Protecting Street Dogs, Protecting the Community [Eng Below]

ในช่วงบ่ายวันศุกร์ เราได้ขับรถไปรอบวัดและพื้นที่โดยรอบในนาไร่ เพื่อให้วัคซีนที่จำเป็นแก่สุนัขจรในพื้นที่ ช่วยปกป้องทั้งพวกเขาและชุมชนโดยรวม

💉 รวมทั้งหมดมีสุนัข 58 ตัวได้รับวัคซีน
เราไม่ได้รับการสนับสนุนวัคซีนจากภาครัฐ วัคซีนทุกเข็มเราจัดหาเองทั้งหมด และเราพึ่งพาการบริจาคเพื่อให้สามารถดำเนินงานช่วยชีวิตนี้ต่อไปได้

On Friday afternoon, we drove around the temple and surrounding areas of Nai Rai, providing essential vaccinations to local stray dogs, helping protect both them and the wider community.

💉 In total, 58 dogs were vaccinated.
We do not receive any government support for vaccines. Every dose is funded by us, and we rely entirely on donations to continue this life-saving work.

โคล่า ได้กลับบ้าน…อย่างไม่ต้องเจ็บปวดอีกต่อไป 🩵 Cola Goes Home, Finally Pain Free [Eng Below]

โคล่า มาหาเราพร้อมกับเนื้องอก TVT ที่รุนแรงมาก ใหญ่ที่สุดเท่าที่พวกเราเคยเห็นมา
เธอพักอยู่ในหน่วยดูแลของเรา โดยได้รับเคมีบำบัดทุกสัปดาห์ พร้อมทั้งอาหารเสริม อาหาร และความรักในทุก ๆ วัน

ด้วยการดูแลเอาใจใส่อย่างมาก โคล่าเริ่มรู้สึกดีขึ้น เนื้องอกของเธอลดลง และเธอก็เริ่มยิ้มได้อีกครั้ง ในที่สุดเธอก็ไม่ต้องเจ็บปวดอีกต่อไป!

แต่แล้วก็มาถึงเวลาที่โคล่าต้องกลับบ้าน และพวกเราไม่สามารถทนที่จะส่งโคล่ากลับไปอยู่บนถนนได้ จากนั้น โชคดีสำหรับโคล่า คนที่เคยให้อาหารเธอบนถนนได้ตัดสินใจรับเธอไปเลี้ยง 🩵 ตอนนี้เธอกำลังปรับตัวและคุ้นเคยกับชีวิตในบ้านที่ปลอดภัย ไม่ต้องเจ็บปวด สุขภาพดี และเต็มไปด้วยความรัก

Cola came to us suffering from severe TVT tumours, some of the largest we’ve seen.

She stayed in our care unit, receiving weekly chemotherapy along with daily supplements, tasty food, and plenty of love.

With time, patience, and lots of care, Cola slowly began to heal. Her tumours shrank, her strength returned, and little by little, her smile came back. For the first time in a long time… she was pain free.

When it was time for Cola to leave, we couldn’t imagine sending her back to the streets. But then, something wonderful happened! The kind person who had been feeding her decided to take her home 🩵
Now Cola is adjusting to a safe and loving home, where she can finally live free from pain, surrounded by care and kindness.
