The Ordem de Malta Timor-Leste Clinic Team would like to sincerely thank the Timor-Leste Police Development Program (TLPDP) and the Australian Federal Police for the opportunity to participate in the Humanitarian Assistance / Disaster Relief (HADR) and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training program, held from June 30 to July 11, 2025, at the PNTL Police Training Center, Comoro, Dili.
We are proud to announce that the following team members have successfully completed the 2-week training and are now certified in both HADR/TCCC and Advanced First Aid Skills:
1. Viviana Diogo Sarmento - Doctor
2. Norman Lopez Magalong - Nurse
3. Marcelo Mario Lopez Tanec - Nurse
4. Paulo Tout - Ambulance Driver
This specialized training brought together 38 participants from PNTL, CPA (Bombeiros), F-FDTL, CVTL (Red Cross), and Ordem de Malta—including 35% women participation—to build national capacity and strengthen inter-agency response for humanitarian and disaster scenarios.
We are honored to be part of this meaningful initiative that enhances institutional resilience and supports the Government of Timor-Leste’s mission in providing skilled, professional, and community-responsive services.
Stronger together for a safer, more prepared Timor-Leste.
