Scratching Your Eyes Can Damage Your Eyes! Beware of Keratoconus! 👁️⚠️
If you are scratching your eyes, be careful! This seemingly innocent habit can be the trigger of a serious eye disease called keratoconus.
Keratoconus is a progressive disease that occurs when the transparent layer (cornea) at the front of the eye thins and becomes pointed forward. This can lead to visual impairment and serious vision loss.
One of the biggest risk factors is the habit of scratching your eyes frequently and harshly. This risk increases especially in people with allergic constitutions!
🔹 Do not scratch or rub your eyes.
🔹 If you have allergic reactions, definitely consult an ophthalmologist.
🔹 Keratoconus can be controlled with early diagnosis.
📍 Remember, the habit of scratching your eyes, which is like a reflex, can threaten your vision.
