I woke up to this message:

"𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙮 𝙨𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨!"
Proclaimed by one of my new clients this morning.

𝘼𝙡𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙙𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙝! 𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙝𝙪 𝘼𝙠𝙗𝙖𝙧!

Stunned at the hardship she is going through, I humbled myself to Allah and reaffirmed that I would never underestimate the power of impact.

As a positive force to others, one of my Goals is sharing the immense power of spiritually understanding and reconnecting with your authentic self and your creator, Allah.

We are led by the so called '𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙𝙡𝙮 𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩' negating the '𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙡'𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩' which is thirsty to engage with Allah swt (God) where it finds peace, contentment and solace.

We are living in turbulent times all around the world, it is during times like this that we must fall and surrender to God Almighty.

𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘽𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙣: 𝙍𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙗𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 & 𝘼𝙣𝙭𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮

It’s the same cycle every year.

Ramadan ends. We get spiritually hungover.

That lasts a couple of weeks. We get back into our routine.

Then the blocks resurface. One by one.

And before you know it, the same old blocks anchoring you to places you don’t want to be.

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 (𝐬𝐰𝐭), feel peaceful, calm, despite a storm brewing around you, and be optimistic and content enough in the face of adversities.

When Ramadan ends, it’s only natural to get sucked into our same ‘ol routine.

𝐀𝐧𝐱𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 creeps in through the doorways we have been trying to bolt shut.

But when we start to lose the momentum we vowed to maintain throughout the year, we are hit with a round of disappointment - beating ourselves up for not being able to stay consistent in our pursuit of Allah (swt).

Then comes the pressure from falling short in our daily spiritual habits and when these dots connect, the pattern takes a frightening shape threatening to put us in zombie mode while our blocks start to resurface.

Look, 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀.

𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫.

But when you learn to steer your personality and emotions to remain unbelievably calm in the face of adversities, that is when you bury the triggers hidden inside your old self and cover them up with newfound spiritual habits that keep you on the path you set on in the first place.

You are not meant to fail, you have every strength to push yourself and prolong your spiritual high for as long as you can.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐭 ﷺ ❤

A blind Sahabi by the name of Ibn Umm Maktoum.

He thought his disability defined him, that he wasn’t capable of being in the Jama’ah every day because his house was far from the Masjid.

So, he came to the Prophet ﷺ seeking permission to pray at home instead.

But the Prophet ﷺ knew of his potential.

He ﷺ told him so long as you can hear the Adhan, come to the Masjid.

Then he asked Ibn Umm Maktoum to come earlier to catch the Adhan when it was made.

Then finally, when the habit was established and belief was planted, the Prophet ﷺ asked him to lead the prayer in his absence.

So that whenever the Prophet ﷺ left Madinah for an expedition, Ibn Umm Maktoum, the blind man, was appointed Imam.

𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑝ℎ𝑒𝑡 ﷺ 𝑟𝑒𝑑𝑒𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑑 𝑠𝑢𝑐𝑐𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟 ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒, ℎ𝑒 𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑒𝑎𝑐ℎ 𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑜𝑛’𝑠 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑡 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑐𝑜𝑎𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑛𝑒𝑥𝑡 𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑛𝑒, 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑒𝑑 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑙𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑠.

Do you feel stagnant as if you’re trying to accelerate, but your car isn’t going anywhere?

There are times when we feel stuck and start questioning whether we’re making a difference.

If our lives are adding up to anything.

Like a car spinning its wheels, we feel the same. Round and round we go in circles. Pushing with all our might – but 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘤𝘬. Pressing our gas pedals even harder – but our wheels dig deeper in the mud.

I used to go through this for days, months, even years. But I learned that Allah is always teaching me, many times, bringing things to me in my life to help me unstuck.

Many times in those moments of being lost and confused, I had the deepest experiences of faith.

I want you to know that Allah has put us exactly where we’re meant to be.

He knows exactly where we are and where we need to go (despite what we might think).

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒕𝒔 𝑴𝒖𝒔𝒍𝒊𝒎𝒔 𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔.

So, how do we think about our relationship with Allah as the world falls apart at a dizzying pace?

Allah is our Ultimate Master. He is the source of all Goodness, Peace, Might and Wisdom. He is Self Sufficient, Complete and Perfect.

👉On the other hand, us human beings, me and you? We are not self sufficient. We are incomplete. We are so, so imperfect. We need a 𝑳𝑶𝑻 of help.

The very best help we can give ourselves is to train our thoughts to choose Allah over everything else. To make Him our top priority, the most important part of our lives.

A great way to start this training is to thank Him for 𝑬𝑽𝑬𝑹𝒀𝑻𝑯𝑰𝑵𝑮.

As you scroll through social media, these may be your current thoughts:

➡️ Omg I cannot bear what's happening.
➡️ Why is nobody making this stop?
➡️ How are these people surviving?!!

Try replacing them with these kind of thoughts:

✔️Thank you Allah for the pain of bearing witness.
✔️Thank you Allah for this bubbling rage that is waking up the Ummah.
✔️Thank you Allah for this jolting reminder on how little everything else matters 🕋

Did you see the video of the man smilingly making wudhu, then explaining that his two sons had died that very morning, that he was fine with it and everyone should toughen up?

He chose Allah over everything.

You and I, with our countless blessings and privileges and luxuries, must aim for the same.

𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙜𝙚.

𝐷𝑖𝑑 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑎 ℎ𝑢𝑚𝑎𝑛 𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑑 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑐𝑙𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑡𝑜 70,000 𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑎 𝑑𝑎𝑦?

Pretty amazing, right?

Now think about how many of them are stressful thoughts.

Look, stress is a part of our lives, whether it’s from:
➡️ work,
➡️ children,
➡️ or home,.......and everyone has their own inner battles to deal with, but our emotional cups can overflow sometimes.

Meaning - sometimes it’s just too much stress to deal with.

And one simple way to lighten the burden off of our chest is to "𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤" it out.

Our spouses are the closest human beings we’re connected with.

But:
🔸️if we’re unable to unload the burden off of each other,
🔸️if we can’t find the right words to say without offending one another,
🔸️if we don’t even know how to break the ice,

➡️ then, what are we doing❓️

We’re no more than roommates who live together.

And make no mistake, we can’t build a deep relationship with Allah swt like that.

Here’s why:

↪️All those times you’re not able to talk with your spouse about your stressful routine, that means:

➡️ it’s accumulating inside, and

👉how long would you be able to hold it?

👉how long before you’ve had enough and burst up in flames?

🦯That’s when we’re at our weakest, and Shaytan is waiting for us like a vulture.

Once that stress:
❌️starts to sink in,
❌️spreading hurt in our mind,
....... that’s when Shaytan corners your spirituality.

He forces you to:
➡️ think negative,
➡️ feel negative,
➡️ and breathe negative.

These thoughts circling your mind can create roadblocks to keep you away from Allah, among other things.

So, instead of "removing" the blocks out of your way (like most secular models like to double down on)...

I’m aiming to confront the root problem at the starting point: 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

𝐷𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑡𝑜𝑜𝑙𝑠 𝑡𝑜 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑡ℎ𝑦 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑠𝑝𝑜𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑟𝑒𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑦𝑜𝑢’𝑣𝑒 𝑏𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑟𝑦𝑖𝑛𝑔.

And it is something that will not feel like "𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌", but a "𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒖𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕" that you will start to take in them.

How did the believers of Badr overcome thousands of Quraysh?

Hint: 𝑰𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒓 𝒏𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒔.

The hurt from seeing others in pain becomes a voice echoing in our minds:

"𝑰'𝒎 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏. 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝑰 𝒅𝒐?"

Listen, Shaitan's responsible for a lot of things, but not this one.

While we're tired of seeing pain everywhere we go online.

We're also imprisoning ourselves for the crimes of others outside our reach.

Back to the question:

"𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑑𝑒𝑓𝑒𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝐺𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑎𝑡ℎ 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑄𝑢𝑟𝑎𝑦𝑠ℎ?"

𝑨 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓'𝒔 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒔 𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉.

You already have the strength to do the unthinkable, you just need to unlock the door.

The key is: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 and the only reason you can end up being weak is if you '𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥' that way.

➡️ Get the tools to become a productive believer who doesn't take no for an answer.

➡️ Become a contributing member of your society and Ummah.

➡️ Avoid knocking yourself down with the wrong self-perception

Just like the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his companion Zuhair (who felt he wasn't worth much):

We want to defeat Goliath but don't want to tend the sheep.

(The Prophets were shepherds before they were Leaders).⁣

We want Allah to give us big victories without submitting to small commands. ⁣

In the moment of waiting for peace, for Duas to be answered, what are we doing? ⁣
⁣
I’ve learned more about Allah by focusing on the priorities—the main things He asks us to do—in the Quran than any other way.⁣
⁣
When the word of Allah goes out it doesn’t return void.⁣

Surat al-Isra does not tell us HOW Masjid al-Aqsa will be entered (freed), but rather describes the type of people who will do it: 𝙞𝙗𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙣 𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙖, "𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙊𝙪𝙧𝙨."

In this moment where hope feels scarce, turn to Allah and start with the small things. Whatever you were doing in Ramadan, even if you're doing 5% of it now, 𝘿𝙊𝙉’𝙏 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙜𝙤 𝙤𝙛 𝙞𝙩. ⁣
