Our Story

The Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Education Clinic (C.A.R.E) was founded in 1982 by Dr. Joseph Persaud as a humble practice with a big vision.

Having spent over 25 years in Canada training and specializing in Chiropractic and Sports Therapy Medicine, Dr. Persaud resolved to embark on a new project in his twin island home of Trinidad and Tobago. He then launched his private practice in Belmont while also practicing at St Clair and Chaguanas with the goal of filling a need in the industry for quality chiropractic and sports therapy care.

Dr. Persaud’s philanthropic nature was the driving force behind this ambitious venture and has made all the difference in his progress. He has since expanded his private practice into what is known today as The Care Clinic and Medical Center with the help of his son, Matthew Persaud who now serves as Operations Manager of the facility.

In August 2020, The Care Clinic completed its Operating Theatre, marking a major milestone for the facility. This state-of-the-art room equipped with everything needed for both minor and major procedures is utilized by a team of highly experienced surgeons attached to the clinic.
