Whatever its use and whatever you its callled, it is now a place of danger - becoming one of the main areas of COVID-19 spread at home.

Guidelines ask that COVID positive patients use a separate washroom, which may not always be possible in homes with 1-2 toilets.

For homes with a COVID positive patient, you can try the following to reduce your risk:

- Keep your mask on (yes - even at home!)
- Disinfect after every use. Ensure that the instructions for the disinfectant are followed as many have a "stand time" to be fully effective.
- Cover the toilet while flushing to avoid the dreaded "toilet sneeze" or "toilet plume"
- Avoid carrying your phone with you as viruses can live on the surface.
- Wash your hands properly after every use for at least 20 seconds.

Tune in for the re-dedication of St. John the Baptist RC Church in St Augustine. at 6pm today.

Recently, we have been busy on the floors at St. Benet's Hall for the Couples for Christ Trinidad and Tobago family. This work entailed removing all the old layers of floor polish and applying fresh coats of polish to bring back the shine! This job took some time but it was surely worth it to play our part in restoring this historic building.

The Hall was built in 1940 by the monks of the Abbey of Our Lady of Exile and was used as the dining hall for the boarding school at the Mount. After the closure of the school, it was used for various cultural events and as a tea room, but eventually fell into disrepair until the CFC family got the go-ahead to use and restore the site.

The Hall has since been restored and used to hold CFC and parish events and has the one of the best views of Trinidad! It can also be rented for weddings and other events (lockdown restrictions being considered).
