Here’s to Dr. Meagan Smith!❤️ 👑
We’re proud to celebrate Dr. Smith, who has been named the West Michigan Woman of Impact by the American Heart Association. This incredible honor reflects her passion, dedication and commitment to improving the lives of others.
Dr. Smith serves as our inpatient rehabilitation medical director and the Betty Bloomer Ford Cancer Rehabilitation Program director at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. Her work is deeply rooted in caring for patients impacted by cardiovascular disease.
Every day, she helps individuals recovering from heart attacks, strokes and other life-altering conditions rebuild their strength and independence – restoring hope and freedom when it’s needed most. ✨
The Women of Impact campaign brings together leaders who raise awareness about heart disease – the number one killer of women. Through this effort, Dr. Smith has been a powerful advocate, helping women better understand the signs and symptoms of heart disease and empowering them to seek care when it matters most.
In 2018, her mother, Paula, passed away from a heart attack. In her honor, Dr. Smith has remained deeply committed to advocating for women’s heart health, working to ensure women have the knowledge, awareness and support they need to protect their hearts.
We’re incredibly proud of Dr. Smith for the impact she continues to make in our community and beyond. ❤️
