When things get really tough, there is an overwhelming desire to share our problems with anyone who would listen. However, once you share something, you can never take it back...

Learning to not overshare our traumatic experiences with others takes time. However, we must practice discernment, for we can not always know how the information we share with others may be used to hurt us or against us.

BOUNDARIES! BOUNDARIES! BOUNDARIES! They are important for maintaining our sense of self respect, dignity and quality of relationships with others,but how do we create and maintain them?

It’s easy to identify a physical boundary, but how do we identify psychological boundaries and much more, make other people respect these boundaries?

Violation of our boundaries can be done by anyone, anywhere. It can happen in the workplace, within our families and friendship circles.

One may try to ignore their own boundaries because expressing our boundaries to others is a deeply uncomfortable process, especially for people who dislike confrontation, but setting boundaries is unavoidable.

Failure to set boundaries in the long run invites poor treatment, resentment, low self-worth and self-loathing. It leads to poor and disatisfying experiences in life where we feel powerless.

So how do we deal with this difficult yet necessary part of our lives?
