Two Ukrainian Folklore Project Grants

The Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Folklore Association (SEEFA) is pleased to announce the 2024 Ukrainian Folklore PROJECT
Grant. The award - US $500 - will be given to a Ukrainian scholar for the best proposed ethnographic projects related to the culture of
Ukraine and rooted in the disciplines of folkloristics, ethnology, ethnomusicology, or socio-cultural anthropology. The grant is to provide
financial support for either an ongoing project or a new initiative. This award is meant to aid Ukrainian scholars who have had their scholarly and financial support disrupted as a result of Russia's full-scale
invasion of Ukraine. Scholars affiliated with Ukrainian institutions or unaffiliated Ukraine-based scholars are eligible to apply, even if they
temporarily reside outside of Ukraine. Scholars employed by institutions outside of Ukraine or those who receive financial support from
such institutions at the time of application are not eligible. The winner will be encouraged to submit the results of the project - in the form of either an article manuscript or research report - to
Folklorica to be considered for publication. Folklorica is now indexed by SCOPUS. The application package - in either English or Ukrainian - should include the following: A one-page single-spaced description of the project, its goals, objectives, and significance, A short CV (1-2 pages) The application package should be emailed to the President of SEEFA, Dr. Mariya Lesiv (mlesiv@mun.ca) and Vice-President, Dr. Dorian
Jurić (juricdb@gmail.com). It should include "SEEFA Ukrainian Folklore PROJECT Grant" in the subject line.
