Regular exercise is both a dream, a torment, and a mirage for most normal people. On the one hand, we easily wish, plan, and start exercising, but on the other, we quickly quit. The same is often true in other life situations that require discipline and perseverance. "Quitting smoking is very easy. I, for example, have quit many times," Mark Twain wittily pointed out. It's the same with projects, start-ups, careers. So what do you have to do to learn how to achieve the results you want? The obvious solution is to find motivation strong enough to make us overcome ourselves every day and take the next step toward future success. How much motivation does one need to have in order to last? The answer is that the motivation must be either one very strong factor or a set of many factors that come into play in moments of fading inner energy.
