The past few months have been intense — and meaningful. Together with our donors, partners, and volunteers, we kept doing what matters most: getting help where it’s urgently needed and supporting the people who carry healthcare through war.

Here’s what that looked like:
▪️ 49,000+ items of medical supplies delivered
▪️ 18 aid missions to hospitals and frontline units
▪️ 5 ambulances now saving lives
▪️ £119,000+ in medical aid value

Beyond deliveries, we focused on people.

We supported Ukrainian clinicians in the UK — through NHS recruitment initiatives from NHS Employers and practical webinars — helping them rebuild their medical careers and continue caring for patients.

Thanks to our partnership with the British Red Cross, we’ve launched a pilot program helping Ukrainian doctors move toward GMC registration and NHS employment — a small but important step toward long-term stability.

We also stood with children affected by war. Through Gen.Ukrainian’s Gen.Camp, 100 children received psychological support, space to feel safe, and a chance to start healing.

None of this happens without trust and support.
If you feel connected to this work, we’d be grateful for your donation via the link in bio.

Together, we’re helping Ukraine heal — one step at a time 🙌🏻

He’s only 26.
He survived a mine blast.
Now, he needs our help to rebuild his life. 🇺🇦

Ukrainian Medical Charity and Благодійний фонд «Громадянин» / Citizen Charity foundation / Citizen Charity Foundation are raising funds to provide urgent rehabilitation for wounded Ukrainian defenders whose future depends on it.

One of them is Jozef Nociar, a volunteer from Slovenia, 25th Air Assault Brigade.

Jozef’s Story

🔹 Age: 26
🔹 Injury: High amputation of both legs above the knee
🔹 Dream: To stand, move, and live independently again

On September 20, 2025, while returning from a reconnaissance mission, Jozef stepped on a mine.
The explosion took both of his legs.

He stayed conscious. He fought to survive.
But the injuries were devastating: double high amputation, hand trauma, shrapnel wounds, numerous surgeries.

💬 "There was that alarming silence. One step — and darkness. I realized instantly… my legs were gone. But I held on. I kept breathing…" — says Jozef.

What He Needs

Jozef urgently needs specialised rehabilitation at the Western Rehabilitation Center — the first and most critical step toward adapting to prosthetics and restoring mobility.

➡️ No rehab = no prosthetics
➡️ No prosthetics = no future mobility

The mission is clear. We must stand with him now.

Ukrainian Medical Charity, in cooperation with Благодійний фонд «Громадянин» / Citizen Charity foundation, is working to provide critical support for Ukrainian veterans. Their future depends on it.
One of these stories is Oleg's.

‼️ Veteran volunteer needs joint replacement ‼️ Without surgery, he could lose his leg.

🫡🇺🇦 Oleg Koleukh, call sign TSUNAMI

Oleg’s Story

He has been serving since 2014.
His combat injuries have led to the urgent need for both of his knee joints to be replaced. The bone is deteriorating. A new joint is his chance to save his leg and live without pain.

💬 "Over the years, I have undergone knee replacement surgeries on both knees, and my body still contains shrapnel—in my bones, my neck, even my head. But now the situation has become critical...

Despite the pain and limitations, I haven't stood by idly. I'm holding a different front line—the front line of aiding the army. I want to continue supporting my brothers-in-arms, to stand by them..." — says Oleg.

What He Needs

The surgery itself is covered. However, Oleg needs a high-quality knee implant—his only chance to save his leg and build a future free from constant pain.

➡️ No implant = no surgery
➡️No surgery = risk of amputation

We can prevent this. He has given enough; let's give him this chance.

‼️ Severe Spinal Cord and Spinal Column Injuries ‼️ He Needs Specialised Rehabilitation

🫡🇺🇦 Serhii Kolomiiets,
call sign VOVK

Serhii’s Story

He has served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 2022. Wounded. Concussed. On June 25, 2025, he sustained a spinal injury, resulting in tetraplegia.

💬 "My husband has no feeling in his legs and arms. He cannot move on his own. From the very first day, I have been by his side. We are fighting together for every movement, for every hope, for life...

Serhii is a true warrior. He gave his health for Ukraine, for our peace. Now I am asking for help for him—to stand firm in this, his most difficult battle." — his wife, Lyudmila.

What He Needs

Serhii requires intensive, specialised rehabilitation at the "AGAPE" centre to regain any possible function and independence.

➡️ No rehab = no recovery
➡️ No recovery = a lifetime of dependence

The mission is critical.
We must not leave him behind.

How You Can Help

🎗 All-Ukrainian Day Against Breast Cancer 💗

Today, as Ukraine marks the All-Ukrainian Day Against Breast Cancer, we want to remind everyone — no matter where you are in the world — that caring for your health always matters.

At Ukrainian Medical Charity, we believe that attention to one’s well-being and timely medical care are the foundation of a healthy society.

💬 Early diagnosis saves lives.
💬 Self-examinations and medical screenings matter.
💬 Awareness, care, and unity can make a difference.

Let this day be a gentle reminder to pay attention to your own health and encourage those around you to do the same. 💞
