CLIMATE CHANGE.
Every single country on the face of the earth is currently experiencing the drastic effects of climate change, some more than others. With countries losing billions of dollars annually.
Shall we be able to limit the increase in global mean temperature to 2⁰C above pre-industrial levels?
2024 was confirmed by Copernicus Climate Change Service(C3S) to be the warmest calender year ever recorded and the first year to ever exceed 1.5⁰C above pre-industrial level.
COP annually discusses matters around climate change, but that alone is not enough. We all have to act with the urgency this matter deserves.
The years between 2015 to 2024 are the 10 hottest years ever recorded and this trend could remain constant.
It's therefore of paramount importance for everyone to participate in Climate action because it affects every aspect of life.
We have witnessed heat deaths, extreme droughts, infrastructure destructions, poor farm yields, very destructive floods, rising sea levels, wild fires, physical and mental impacts and many more due to Climate change.
Climate mitigation funding will never be adequate, it therefore calls everyone to act and adopt Climate resilient practices at all costs.
Despite contributing least to Climate change, Africa is the most affected Continent.
What have you personally done?
Everything else that we invest in can easily be wiped away by climate change if we don't invest enough in Climate change itself.
It's your responsibility, it's my responsibility, it's our responsibility.
