During our follow-up visit to Walukuba West Primary School, we had the opportunity to answer the students’ questions about menstruation, puberty, and s*x submitted through our anonymous Q&A box.

It was a meaningful exchange of knowledge where we also had the chance to distribute our STAR Durable Pads. This visit highlighted the importance of continuous Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights education for the young generation to break stigma, empower, and foster open conversations about growing up.

23% of girls miss out on school in Uganda when they are on their period.

This reveals an immense struggle and a worrying tendency. Girls and young women are the future of our nation - yet for many, managing a period still means missing school. Not because they want to, but because they lack safe and affordable menstrual products. Lack of access should never determine a girl’s education or future.

This November, we visited Mafubira Primary School to conduct a SRHR training on menstrual health and hygiene for Primary 5 and 6🎗️🎗️🎗️We were met by 82 girls and 46 boys curious to learn through a videolearning format, follow-up questions and a demonstration of the different menstruation hygiene products.

The session ended with us donating STAR Durable pads to the 82 girls that attended to secure and prepare them for their period♥️

We are proud to help and break down the barriers to women’s prosperity, education and empowerment. Thank you for having us! 💪🏽
