The advantage of eating vegetarian diet in weightloss journey is that there would be no need of portion control, skipping meals, or counting calories, as plants are naturally nutrient dense and low in calories.

Even though the calorie content is the same in all the food items, the volume is different. So, it's clear that 100 calories of the plants would be more likely to fill you up, while the samee 100 calories from animal or processed foods may leave you half empty.

If consuming animal based calories, make sure you club it with a plant source to amp your nutrient intake.

This is what a 13 year diffence looks like 😛😉. This is me 13 years back from now sitting at the same place at the same time. The only difference is that 12 years back I was in college - pursuing my masters and now I am a mother of 2, married for 12 years now.🙈

When we are young, everyone over the age of thirty looks middle-aged, everyone over fifty antique. And time, as it goes by, confirms that we were so wrong. It's you who make you look older or younger.

Back then I too used to think that eating less or better said - starving myself would keep me thin but now I have learnt that eating good amount and quality food will keep my hormones and cells happy. You don't have to starve yourself to look your best.

Life is like a sandwich, you need to fill it with best ingredients. If I eat sandwich, I make sure that it is filled with a good amount of (overloaded) veggies. 🥬🥒🍅🧅🫑🫒🌽🧀☘️

'BREAD' we all love it, but these days it has got a bad repo because of its carb content. The problem is that we only focus on eating the bread. If we add good amount of vegetables that are rich in fibre and nutrients - opt for whole wheat / multi-grain/cereal / sour bread - enjoy it - without guilt.

We all need carbs in our daily lives. Without carbs our nerves don't function properly, we feel lethargic, we suffer from constipation, we crave sugar and it may cause irregularities in menstrual cycles as well.

Eat well. Stay well!! 💪
