Many people think Surrogacy is not legal in Uganda, but there are a whole host of laws that support the legality of surrogacy.
The new bill establishes best practices and regulations to protect all parties and create an offical parentage process.

I was honored to testify in front of the Ugandan Parliament Committee of Health about surrogacy on Thursday. We are encouraging safeguards and protections for surrogates including attorney representation. Ugandan Women’s Representatives are doing an excellent job advocating for women. Other countries can learn from Uganda’s wonderful example on women’s issues.
