🚨 6 sneaky signs your stomach might have an ULCER 😷
1. Stomach ache and burning pain
This is the most common symptom: a dull, gnawing, or burning pain in the upper abdomen (between the breastbone and belly button). It often worsens when the stomach is empty (between meals or at night) and may ease temporarily after eating or taking antacids.
2. Bloating and burping
Many people experience bloating, a feeling of fullness (even after small meals), excessive belching (burping), or indigestion. This happens due to irritation of the stomach lining.
3. Nausea and vomiting
Nausea is frequent, and some experience vomiting. In severe cases (especially with bleeding), vomit may contain blood (red or looking like coffee grounds).
4. Loss of appetite
Pain, nausea, or a constant feeling of fullness can lead to reduced hunger or avoiding food, sometimes causing unintended weight loss.
5. Black tarry stool
This is melena(dark, black, sticky, tar-like) stools with a foul smell. It's a key sign of bleeding from the ulcer (upper GI bleeding). This is serious and requires immediate medical attention, as it indicates complications like active bleeding.
6. Fatigue and body weakness
This can result from chronic blood loss (anemia) due to slow bleeding from the ulcer, leading to tiredness, weakness, paleness, or shortness of breath. It's more common when the ulcer causes ongoing low-level bleeding.

Don’t ignore your gut! If this is you, see a doctor ASAP 🩺
