Over the long term (meaning months or years), it is quite harmful, if you want to keep your teeth, that is.

The most common cause of tooth loss is gum disease (destroys the bone that hold your teeth in), not decay. And a major contributing factor for gum disease is tartar below the gums. The reason we recommend cleanings every 6 months, with dental insurance designed to pay at this frequency, is due to its almost singular ability to prevent gum disease→tooth loss.

Here's an image and X-ray of a pretty extreme case of bone loss from gum disease. There's almost no bone left around the roots of these poor lower anterior teeth. The tartar buildup has obviously been there for years, further and further migrating below the gums, destroying the attachment of your teeth to surrounding bone.

This condition is entirely preventable! That's the sad part. Once it becomes advanced, however, patients will end up loosing the teeth.

Not necessarily.
An underbite is when you close your mouth, and your lower front teeth are in front of your upper teeth. Being diagnosed in the right manner is essential for what treatment determines.

Differentiation has to be made whether the underbite is based on a dental(teeth positioning) or skeletal(jaw discrepancies) cause.
• Dental. When your underbite results from teeth position and not a more pronounced lower jaw or retruded upper jaw, surgery is not required.
• Skeletal. When your underbite results from you having a too forwarded, lower jaw or a too retruded upper jaw, or both, surgery is your best and most reliable option.
It might be “tempestuous” to treat an underbite caused by mild skeletal factors without surgery. However, these cases are likely to relapse to their original position and are not stable nor reliable.

While teething can begin as early as 3 months, most likely you'll see the first tooth start pushing through your baby's gum line when your little one is between 4 and 7 months old. The first teeth to appear usually are the two bottom front teeth, also known as the central incisors

𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 𝐃𝐫.𝐒𝐮𝐳𝐚𝐧.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐥, 𝐚 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧?
If they both had to be conducted without a local anaesthetic drug, I will vote extraction.
The reason being, there are more than one tissue being manipulated during tooth extraction procedure. Those tissues receive nervous supply from different nerve branch.
For instance, if you're extracting upper posterior teeth, the soft tissues on the palatal aspect receives innervation from the greater palatine nerve while the hard tissues (teeth) receive innervation from the posterior superior alveolar nerve.
The cumulative pain sensations double if they are originating from the different source. Furthermore, RCT (root canal treatment) will be painful during the first few minutes, once the nerve is extirpated, the pain will cease.
Both procedures are so painful. And there are other individual factors that affect pain like dental anxiety and phobias that seem to lower the pain threshold.
