Client:
Can you drink milk when you have stomach ulcers?

Doctor Zziwa:
Drinking milk definitely won't heal your stomach ulcers, although it may temporarily cause a brief relief of ulcer pain if the ulcer hurts worse on an empty stomach. Milk coats on the lining of stomach there by causing a brief relief from pain. But later on milk stimulates your stomach to produce hydrochloric acid and digestive juices that can make the ulcers hurt worse. Be cautious on taking milk.
