CMC is seeking to recruit Ugandan nationals to fill the following vacant positions;
Position: Radiographer
Post Ref: CMCHR/M/003/2017
No of Post: 1
Reports to: Consultant/Operations Manager
Duty station Kampala
Summary: The major function of this position is to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day Radiology services (i.e. Radiographic imaging and ultrasound) to outpatients/inpatients at the CMC as well as handling sensitive equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Preparing patients for radiographic investigations.
• Carrying out radiographic imaging and submit reports to the Doctor in Charge.
• Providing protection to patients and CMC staff against radiation and radioactive materials.
• Identifying and recommending referral of patients in need of specialized imaging.
• Maintaining radiographic operational equipment.
• Requisitioning and accounting for radiographic materials and sundries allocated to the Department.
• Perform Ultrasound scanning.
• Preparing and submitting performance reports to CMC Management.
• Preparing and submitting work plans and budgets for radiographic activities in the Clinic.
• Participate in planning & budgeting for CMC Radiographic services.
• Perform other specialized tests using contrast media.
• Perform any other duties as required by your supervisors.
Job Requirements and other competency skills
• Must have a degree in Radiology
• Must be registered by the Allied Health Professionals Council of the Republic of Uganda, and have a valid practicing license
• At least one to two years proven working experience in the same field
• Must demonstrate high standards of professionalism and integrity.
• Very good communication and inter-personal skills
• Very good IT skills
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and attend to details
• Should be able to work independently and make sound decisions.
Position: Nurse

Reports to: Senior nurse/Consultant
Duty station: Kampala
Summary: The major function of this position is to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day Nursing services to outpatients/Inpatients at the Cornerstone Medical Centre.
Duties and responsibilities
• Attending to patients upon arrival.
• Taking vital signs of patients
• Collecting information about conditions and treatment plans from care givers, nurses and doctors
• Dispensing of drugs prescribed by Doctors to patients
• Answering to patients calls
• Maintaining the dispensing unit, and preparing reports on use of drug and updating stock list and checking expiry date
• Examining patients for bruises and other injuries/wounds
• Lifting patients into beds, wheelchairs or exam table
• Turning or repositioning patients who are bed ridden
• Bathing and dressing patients
• Cleaning and sanitizing patient areas
• Provide and empty bedpans
• Changing sheets and restocking rooms with necessary supplies
Job Requirements
• Certificate in nursing and a valid practicing license from the Nursing & Midwives Council of the Republic of Uganda,
• At least one or more years proven working experience in nursing/midwife
• Good communication skills especially English and Luganda or any other language spoken in the Republic of Uganda
• Must demonstrate high standards of professionalism and integrity.
• Very good communication and inter-personal skills
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and attend to details
• Should be able to work independently and make sound decisions.
Position: Midwife

Reports to: Senior nurse/Consultant Obs & Gyn
Duty station: Kampala
Summary: The major function of this position is to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day midwifery care to expectant mothers and their new born babies at the Cornerstone Medical Centre.
Duties and responsibilities
• Providing antenatal care to expectant mothers
• Receive, register and admit expectant mothers
• Carry out health education and implements infection control guidelines
• Caring for and assisting women in labour and identifying high risk cases for referral
• Monitoring and administering medication, injections and intravenous infusions during labour
• Monitoring the foetus during labour
• To participates in ward rounds
• advising about and supporting parents in the daily care of their newborn babies
• Assist in bathing and dressing patients
• Cleaning and sanitizing patient areas
• Provide and empty bedpans
• Changing sheets and restocking rooms with necessary supplies
• Compiling reports
Job Requirements
• Must have Certificate in midwifery from a recognize institution and a valid practicing license from the Nursing & Midwives Council of the Republic of Uganda,
• At least one or more years proven working experience in midwifery
• Good communication skills especially English and Luganda or any other language spoken in the Republic of Uganda
• Must demonstrate high standards of professionalism and integrity.
• Very good communication and inter-personal skills
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and attend to details
• Should be able to work independently and make sound decisions.
