NASA has confirmed plans, with the US Department of Energy, to place a small nuclear fission reactor on the Moon in the coming decade. The reactor is designed to power future Artemis missions and long-term lunar bases, especially during the two-week-long lunar night when solar power fails. While NASA is studying how to use lunar soil and ice to support astronauts, it is not mining the Moon for profit. The reactor is a foundation for living and working on the Moon safely, not exploiting it.

Doctors were astonished to discover that a 44-year-old French man had been living with only 10% of his brain.

His skull was almost entirely filled with fluid from long-term hydrocephalus, yet he led a normal life as a civil servant, husband, and father.

Despite scoring slightly below average on IQ tests, he functioned socially and cognitively within the normal range.

The case has reshaped neurological understanding of brain plasticity and consciousness, suggesting the brain can rewire itself far beyond previous assumptions, even when most of its structure is gone.
