This patient presented with severe pain and swelling. Pus was drained and root canal treatment was started for the upper first molar and second premolar.

*Avoid hard toothbrushes in a horizontal way aggressively*
Or you can have a serious non Carious cervical lesions
Here the condition has been treated, the brushing method had been adjusted
7 teeth treated with composite fillings
The filling should be smooth, well adapted blended with the natural tooth to forbid further progression of the condition and stabilize it and to prevent plaque accumulation on the margins

This sheet is called a rubber dam, and we use it here at James Dental Surgery in Charis Health Center to isolate the tooth from the mouth, which is full of bacteria and moisture.
The rubber dam helps me, as a dentist, provide better quality treatment. It allows me to properly disinfect the tooth from the inside and keep it isolated from saliva and oral bacteria, which can interfere with the bonding of fillings and reduce their longevity.
If we do not use a rubber dam, saliva and bacteria can enter the tooth during treatment, even if it was cleaned well. Moisture can also weaken the bonding of fillings, cause leakage, and over time lead to failure or a shorter lifespan of the treatment.
That is why using a rubber dam is not a luxury; it is an essential step to make sure the treatment is done properly and ethically, giving the best possible result.
