✨ So much fun guiding .in.motion into a deeper understanding of the 5 Elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and how they beautifully weave into Yin Yoga practice. 🌿

Each element—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water—holds wisdom for our bodies, minds, and emotions.

Nature is within us and outside of us. We are a replica of the universe passing from season to season in the natural cycle of life.

It’s amazing to see how Yin Yoga can help us balance these energies, even if we don’t know all the theory!

Loving these conversations and the journey of exploring the body’s subtle connections. 💫

Travel isn’t just about seeing new places. It’s about seeing yourself differently.

There’s something profoundly transformative that happens when we step outside our routines and into the unknown. Travel shakes us awake. It softens our grip on control, stretches our perspectives, and returns us to the present moment—again and again.

For those on a yogic path, travel becomes more than exploration. It becomes sādhanā—a spiritual practice.

🌿 We learn to breathe in new rhythms.
🌍 We find connection in unfamiliar cultures.
🧘🏽 We meet ourselves more honestly when we’re far from what is familiar.

Whether you’re practicing yoga on a beach in India, meditating in a quiet forest in Finland, or journaling in a mountain village—travel invites us to embody yoga off the mat. It reminds us that home is not a place, but a feeling. And that feeling begins within.

Let the world open you.
Let movement be medicine.
Let stillness find you, wherever you go.

✨ Where has travel changed you?

Meditation is the art of doing nothing.

We rush towards many things — appointments, yoga classes, deadlines — and when we do, we miss out on the present moment. We move at such a fast pace. One that never really allows us to be here in this moment, and then wonder where the days, weeks, and months have gone.

The faster we try to go, the more behind we feel. Our to do list is never ticked off.

We take shortcuts over the scenic route.

We rush through our 15-minute recipe, turning it into a frenzied 30 minutes that is created with impatience not love.

And

We squeeze in the 10-minute workout realizing we barely had a chance to warm up let alone return and assimilate.

In this fast paced, goal oriented world ⭐️ just today ⭐️ let the goal be about doing nothing and see how even 10 minutes feels. I know it felt great for me

Sequencing has always been a love of mine. From creating ballet 🩰 routines as a child and pirouetting across the lounge, to tumbling on a spring floor in gymnastics. The only love that tops the passion is savasana. Stopping to pause with a or just the mat is nothing short of meeting the divine within yourself.

Addiction to knowledge is like any other addiction. It offers an escape from the fear of emptiness, of loneliness, of frustration, the fear of being nothing. —Krishnamurti

Context: Addiction to knowledge is like any other addiction. It offers an escape from the fear of emptiness, of loneliness, of frustration, the fear of being nothing. The light of knowledge is a delicate covering under which lies a darkness that the mind cannot pe*****te. The mind is frightened of this unknown, and so it escapes into knowledge, into theories, hopes and imagination. This very knowledge is a hindrance to the understanding of the unknown. To put aside knowledge is to invite fear, and to deny the mind, which is the only instrument of perception one has, is to be vulnerable to sorrow and to joy. But it is not easy to put aside knowledge. To be ignorant is not to be free of knowledge. Ignorance is the lack of self-awareness; and knowledge is ignorance when there is no understanding of the ways of the self. Understanding of the self is freedom from knowledge. —Krishnamurti

India is a country of opposites. The snow capped Himalayas, the sultry beaches, the expanse of desert 🌵 the chaos of a 🌆 city. The sweet sticky deserts 🧁 and the fresh pranic dishes.

When India gets under your skin it’s the itch you can’t scratch. A constant ni**le urging you to return…. And no matter how many times you do there is always something around the corner to be discovered.

I’m already fantasizing about the next Yoga Teacher Trainings. This one is in the calendar with and possible retreat destinations

Would one of the world’s oldest cities, Varanasi appeal where it can be simultaneously wonderful and overwhelming all at once. Or maybe Hampi or Tiruvanamalai. All rooted in spirituality, and bathed in the loving embrace of many gods and goddesses. So much to see, so many possibilities. 💫💫

Many of us believe that if we could just think our way through life, we would finally arrive at peace.
But you can’t think your way out of a prison made of thoughts (Krishna Das)

You don’t experience life. You experience what you focus on.

So how do we navigate this? Well life doesn’t automatically become less sh*tty 💩 but you shift your perspective to see challenges as opportunities, tests as a place to grow and sneezes as a chance to expand your immune system.

This is yoga. It’s not just touching your toes, it’s touching yours and others hearts. Changing your lulemons and mindset
