🚨WARNING LONG POST 🚨
Why have I made the decision to Join Kore Cares?
We have had trouble finding reliable, and trustworthy individuals who wanted to make a positive impact in the lives of people in our communities, because I was unable to provide an extensive list of benefits.
The reason for this is because I wanted to provide the best services at the most affordable price that I could. I was not in this business to necessarily make money, I only needed what It took to feed my family. The rest went to my employees in pay, mileage reimbursement, and bonuses, and general business expenses. I did not due other benefits as it would cost way to much, and that would have to be forwarded on to clients. ( I always felt if the rate is more then I could afford at my income, how could a senior individual be able to afford it on Social Security Income).
I had very good Employees for the 6 years I was in business. Turn over rate is high, as with any type of job now days, (especially in the health care field, and with not much for benefits).
I met with Gabriella Hoing a few years ago, when I was nominated and received the Care Championship award in Sept of 2020. This was a great Honor for me, and we developed a good friendship. Gabby has helped me with my business the last 4.5-6 years, letting me know when any state policies changed, or we would collaborate on wages, costs of expenses, etc..
I am not very good at the behind the scenes type of office work, (not going to Lie, It is my weakest part). We had talked a few times about this collaboration, but neither of us thought it was the right time. I then had an incident that made me realize that even the people you think are the most trusting, do not always have your (or the client's) best interest at heart. I then seen a reminder of how successful Kore Cares has become. Even earning several Best in Home Care awards each year since 2019. I also saw she grew to the point of expanding into McPherson county's backyard. We connected and both agreed now would be a Great Time to extend their services, and Join Forces. Now all caregivers that wish to provide services in our area will receive an extensive and very good benefits package, as well as excellent starting wages.
I am Proud to become a part of her Excellent Team of Caregivers. (I also do not have to deal with behind the scenes anymore, and I can focus on what I personally do best. "TAKING CARE OF YOUR LOVED ONES, WITH THE UTMOST RESPECT, CARE, COMPASSION AND MOST OF ALL DIGNITY."
I will always put my client's wants and best interests first and foremost in my cares. Kore Cares believes in the same things as I do. We share the same Values, Beliefs, and Missions. Making this a Great new way to Serve our Communities.
