🚨 New Support Group for First Responders 🚨

We are proud to announce the launch of our First Responder Support Group, beginning Thursday, September 18th from 7:30–9:00 PM at our South Easton location.

This free, weekly group will be facilitated by our clinicians on a rotating basis, with the opening session led by Dean Casbarra, Plainville Fire Captain, alongside one of our clinicians.

The group is open to all members of the first responder community—police, fire, EMS, dispatch, corrections, and beyond. Sessions will be available both in-person and virtually, with coffee and pastries provided on-site.

This video serves as an important reminder of the challenges faced by first responders, frontline workers, veterans, and their families. While it highlights just one perspective, it represents the very reason our Plymouth County Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team exists.

Our mission is to provide immediate, confidential, and compassionate support to those who serve and the families who stand beside them. We understand the weight of critical incidents and the lasting impact they can carry. That is why we are committed to offering:
• Peer support from trained responders who truly understand the job.
• Confidential assistance to help process difficult experiences.
• Resources and guidance for families, recognizing that service affects loved ones as well.
• Pathways to resilience and recovery, so no one has to carry the burden alone.

To every first responder, frontline worker, veteran, and family member: you are not alone. Our team is here to listen, support, and walk with you through the toughest times.

🌟 As National Wellness Month comes to a close… 🌟

We are reminded that wellness is not just a month-long focus, but an ongoing commitment to ourselves, our families, and our communities.

This August, we were proud to highlight our First Responder, Frontline Worker, and Veteran Wellness Program—including the incredible yoga sessions hosted with Monkey Wrench Wellness 🧘‍♂️. These opportunities give our heroes the space to recharge, find balance, and build resilience in both body and mind.

🚑🚒🪖 If you or someone you know is a first responder, frontline worker, or veteran in need of support, please know that you are not alone. Wellness is a journey, and we are here to walk it with you.

That's not smog at the DFS Bridgewater campus -- it's smoke from the first "seasoning" fires in the new burn building. DFS Crib Support staff wore full turnout gear and SCBA as they set the fires because that smoke and heat is deadly. If you must escape conditions like these in a fire at home, remember to "Get Low and Go." Stay close to the floor, where the air is cleaner and cooler, and get out right away.
