Enlightened Healing through Enlightened Paths Holistic Veterinary Options prides itself in being a leading alternative health care provider for animals.
Through the integrated, holistic use of Classical Homeopathy, Animal Chiropractic, and Nutrional Counseling by Dr. Pamela Ditonto, Holistic Veterinary Options offers individualized natural methods of healing for animals. At Holistic Veterinary Options, each patient is recognized as a distinct individual with a unique health history. It is with this reorganization that true healing can occur, because the root cause of disease in any individual can vary, even if outward symptoms may appear easily identifiable. This is because from a Holistic stand point, merely making the symptoms go away is not the goal. The goal is to identify the cause of the symptoms and provide the body with natural, curative assistance in repairing itself. We encourage inquiries and look forward to assisting with your veterinary needs!

To Our Holistic Veterinary Options Family:
We care deeply for our patients and their caregivers and find ourselves trying to make sense of this, hopefully short, chapter in life. As you know, Governor Whitmer has issued a Stay-at- Home Order effective Tuesday March 24, 2020 at 12:01 a.m. This is a necessary step in the attempt to do everything we can to protect the public health from the spread of corona virus and subsequent COVID-19. It is imperative for the health and safety of all of us that we follow recommendations for flattening the curve. However, the health and well being of your pets and animals must be a priority as well. This order does not limit your ability to travel for health related purposes, including pets and therefore, HVO will remain OPEN but will immediately institute precautions for the benefit and safety of all of us. We are staying in contact with local, state and national veterinary associations for the latest information to keep you and those in your care safe. In order to continue to serve you safely we will be instituting the following protocols:
-In-clinic appointments will be limited to emergency/relief of suffering situations only.
-Telemedicine or phone consultations will be available for all other appointments and follow ups.
-We will limit new patient appointments until we can get a feel for how the new protocol will affect the schedule
-If you have an in clinic appointment, when you arrive, please remain in your car and call 616-862-8231. -We will comply with the current 6-10 ft social distancing requirement and will not have human clients in the clinic.
-Dr Ditonto will meet you at your car to escort your pet into the office. Please have them safely secured outside of the car on a leash and properly fitted collar or head collar or in a carrier.
-Dr Ditonto will evaluate your pet and perform any necessary treatments and will then disinfect your pet and belongings and return them to you in your car.
-Dr Ditonto will then call you on your cellphone to discuss what her findings and treatment plan are.
-Teleconferencing or telephone appointments will commence as usual. Call 616-862-8231 at your appointed time. If Dr Ditonto is not immediately available, leave your name and phone number and she will call you back.
-Continue to call or text the 616-682-1608 number to talk with Sara to schedule appointments, request refills, order supplements, or other general questions.
-All payment for all appointments will be taken over the phone as a credit card payment (MC, VISA, AmEx, Discover) or may be made online through PayPal.
-Farm call appointments will depend on current government requirements and level of need for the patient. If an emergency, we will work out details on a case by case basis. Sara will be able to advise you at the time of a scheduled appointment or if details of the appointment have
changed. Please note that any non emergency appointment is at the risk of being rescheduled pending changes with public health recommendations and requirements
We thank everyone for their understanding and patience during this time. Since none of us really know what the future may hold or how long the fallout of this pandemic will last, it is difficult to say when we will return to our usual appointment protocol. So for now, the above will be the new normal.
Our goal, as always , is the health and well being of those entrusted to our care. We are committed to the health and well being of you as well. We hope you are all staying healthy and practicing social distancing for the health and well being of yourself and those around you. We truly are all in this together. Be kind to yourselves and each other, take time to breathe and take time to be thankful for the amazing animals that grace our lives.
In Good Health,
Dr Pam, Sara and Marcel
