The apron finally has a name. ❤️
Meet the Revella apron.
Named after my great-grandma, Revella — my grandpa’s mama. 🫶
For those of you that may not know, my grandpa passed away last March. He was the man who always stood in the “dad” role throughout my life. I was anywhere he was. He walked me down the aisle at my wedding, was there for graduations, and so many of life’s biggest moments. He was always there — usually quietly supporting from the background — but always reminding me how proud he was of me.
He taught me so much when it came to tools, woodworking, building things, and not being afraid to figure things out with my own two hands.
So while trying to name this apron, I kept coming back to the generations before me.
The women who worked with their hands, fed their families, canned from the garden, baked bread, sewed, created, and somehow made hard work look beautiful.
Revella was the one who taught my grandma how to can and preserve food — and all those years growing up helping work up peaches, green beans, deer meat, chicken, broth, and more trace back to those lessons first being passed from my grandpa’s mom to my grandma. ❤️
Which makes this apron feel like more than just an apron to me.
It feels like heritage.
Like homemaking.
Like flour on the counters, jars cooling on towels, and stories shared in kitchens. 🥹
So it only felt right to name this piece after her.
✨ The Revella ✨
Designed to be: • full coverage
• comfortable
• practical enough for baking, gardening, preserving, sewing, and everyday homemaking
• with just enough whimsy to make you feel pretty while doing it all ❤️
And honestly… I think she would’ve approved.🥹
[Which is exactly why I included pictures with the littlest helper too — because the women before us didn’t wait for perfect conditions to create beautiful things. They sewed, baked, canned, and lived life with babies on hips and little hands “helping” beside them. 🫶]
Thank you all for helping me brainstorm names and for loving this design as much as I already do.
The Revella apron will be 💲7️⃣5️⃣.
