Hi! My name is Grace and I am the doula behind Graceful Nursing. At Graceful Nursing we provide postpartum and breastfeeding care to new and experienced mothers. What I love most about being a doula is connecting with mommas in the community and giving them the support, care, and confidence that we all need to thrive in motherhood! I wanted to share a few facts about myself so we can get to know each other better🤍

1. I was born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio. (Yes I’m a Bengals fan😉🧡🐅)
2. I am an Air Force veteran and military spouse!
3. My husband and I have traveled to 10 different European countries together🌏
4. I have one little girl, Genevieve, who will be 2 this summer🥹
5. My inspiration to become a doula came from my very own doula 🤍
6. I don’t drink coffee but LOVE a black english tea or chai 🫖
7. As a stay at home mom I find joy in cooking and baking👩🏼‍🍳
8. My favorite season is summer ☀️
9. I have lived in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧
10. The longest flight I have ever been on was 10 hours from Dallas to London ✈️

What is a postpartum doula??

Postpartum doula - A trained professional who provides support, mentally and physically, to new parents in the weeks and months after birth.

As a postpartum doula, we are trained to cover any possible needs of the new (or even seasoned) parents
How does postpartum care present itself?

🗒️Providing evidence-based information: We offer evidence-based articles and handouts to educate parents on the expectations during the fourth trimester, reinforcing the knowledge gained.

🧺Assisting with housework: Our services include laundry, cleaning, nursery organization, dishes, bottle and pump cleaning, and meal preparation. As doulas, we handle these daily tasks, allowing you to focus all your energy and time on your new baby.

🍼Infant care and education: For first-time parents, the wealth of information about infants can feel overwhelming. We assist with bath time, proper clothing, soothing techniques, normal sleep patterns, eating habits, and any other questions you may have about caring for your new baby.

😌Emotional support: Navigating hormone adjustments during the fourth trimester can be challenging. Let us provide a supportive shoulder during tough times and reassure you that your feelings are valid. We can also offer referrals for additional support if needed.

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒Sibling adjustments: Taking older siblings for a fun day at the park allows you to have special one-on-one time with your new baby, knowing that your older children are receiving undivided attention from a caring doula. We can also help them cope with their emotions about their new sibling and teach them how to assist in caring for the baby.

🤱🏼Breastfeeding: Latch assistance, cluster feeding, ni**le pain, pumping, positioning, milk supply. As a certified breastfeeding counselor I can help you navigate breastfeeding your baby.

Most importantly, we are here to assist and support mom in anyway possible so she can rest and recovery from birth.
Postpartum care is unique and specially tailored to each family. There is no one size fits all.

This ⬆️ is postpartum care.

Mom is napping.
The house has been cleaned.
Milk has been stored.
Pumps have been washed.
Baby has been fed.
Baby is napping peacefully in a doulas arms 🤍

It may not sound like much, but this small reset for mom can be the one thing she needed to get her feet back on the ground.
