Fall is such a beautiful season for slowing down, noticing the little things, and building memories with your baby. 🍁 But sometimes, “being present” feels harder than it sounds. Between sleepless nights, feeding challenges, and the whirlwind of new parenthood, it’s easy to feel like perfection is expected—but it isn’t.

This month on the blog, I share gentle parenting tips for embracing this season, focusing on presence over perfection. And if finding that calm, joyful connection feels tricky, I’d love to have a conversation with you. Together, we can explore ways I can best support you in creating meaningful moments with your baby. 🤍

✨ When I became a mom, I was flooded with unsolicited advice. Even with my background as a nurse, it felt overwhelming—and what I truly needed was someone to listen. 💕

That’s why I started my practice here in Albany, Oregon. My heart is to walk alongside new parents—not to judge, not to push—but to offer steady, evidence-based guidance and a compassionate ear.

I’m grateful to be supporting families already, and if you’re expecting this fall, I’d love to walk with you too—whether that’s with infant feeding, lactation & pumping, or newborn sleep. 🌸

📩 DM me to learn more about working together—I’d love to hear your story.

One of the biggest worries I hear from parents is:
➡️ “How do I actually serve this food safely?”

And it makes sense—common foods like grapes, hot dogs, cheese cubes, and apples can pose a choking risk for children under age 4. The solution? A few simple modifications that give you peace of mind while letting your little one explore new tastes and textures. 💕

That’s exactly what we’ll cover in my Starting Solids Workshop next Wednesday at 6:00pm (virtual). You’ll walk away with:
✨ Clear steps for knowing when your baby is ready
✨ How to safely prepare and serve foods
✨ An e-book + the full workshop recording for ongoing support

I’d also love for you to grab my free Choking Prevention Guide—a resource every parent should have handy. You can download it straight from my website.

Your baby’s safety matters, and I’d be honored to support you as you begin this new chapter. 💛

When we think about starting solids, it’s easy to focus on how much our babies are eating. But the truth is… starting solids isn’t a race. ✨

It’s not about finishing every bite.
It’s about building trust. 💛
Trust in you, their parent.
Trust in themselves and their body.
Trust in the process of learning to eat.

Responsive parenting during mealtimes means tuning into your baby’s hunger and fullness cues, and supporting them as they explore food at their own pace. It’s less about the “perfect menu” and more about nurturing connection and confidence.

That’s exactly what we’ll dive into during my Starting Solids Workshop—happening this Wednesday at 6pm (virtual). You’ll leave with:
🍎 Clarity on readiness signs and responsive feeding
🥦 Safe food prep techniques to reduce choking risks
📖 An e-book + full workshop recording to revisit anytime

And because safety is at the heart of all of this, you can also download my FREE Choking Prevention Guide straight from my website—a resource every parent should keep handy.

Your baby doesn’t need a race to the finish line. They need your support, patience, and confidence. I’d be honored to walk this journey with you. 💛

🌿 Responsive Parenting: Building Trust From Infancy to Toddlerhood 🌿

One of the most powerful tools we can give our children is the ability to trust their own body’s signals. That’s what responsive parenting is all about — from recognizing sleep cues, to feeding with confidence, to starting solids, and eventually, potty learning.

I just shared a new blog post exploring how responsive parenting can help you build trust with your child at every stage. 💕

✨ Read it here: https://katie-wade.themamacoach.com/blog/

I’d love to know —
👉 What’s one cue your baby or toddler gives that you’ve learned to recognize?
👉 How has tuning into their signals changed your parenting journey?

💡 And if you’re getting ready to start solids, don’t miss my Virtual Starting Solids Workshop on Sept. 24th at 6pm — with an e-book + class recording included!
