🚨 Announcement 🚨
I’m excited to finally tell you about this little thing I’ve been cooking up... worth the read!
So... I am a woman who can basically do anything I dream up. That’s been on my mind since I started training for this 50-miler. I am grateful to have never known a world where that freedom doesn’t exist.... but it doesn’t in so many places.
That’s why I’ve partnered with an organization called . They are trying to close the gap of gender disparity in rural, poverty-stricken Kenya. A place where girls are sometimes treated as commodities. Forced/sold into marriage at a very young age, abused, neglected, mutilated.
We runners are an incredibly supportive and encouraging community. One that lifts each other up, cheers each other on. Imagine being trapped in a world where you had no support. Your future is not even your own decision. No education, no opportunity.
Village of Hope’s mission is to empower these girls and help them invest in themselves in a safe environment.
One of my primary goals in raising a daughter, is to ensure she understands her dreams can come true and that I’ll be there to help make them happen. I felt I could spread that message for other girls around the world, through you.
So, on September 12th, when I run the with my good friends, we run for Hope. We run for these girls — because we can.
Please check out my blog post for all details (link in bio.) I hope you’ll follow along for our journey.
When a race costs $30++ I figured we could put a little money we’re saving from fall cancellations to good use.
A big thank you to our sponsors so far to...
