Autistic Barbie is a huge win, but she’s just the start.

Remember: If you’ve me one autistic person, you’ve met one person.

Let’s celebrate this doll while we’re pushing for more diverse representation!

“You’re just playing all day?” 😩😒

I get this a lot, and I get why it looks that way
But “child-led” doesn’t mean the child runs the show with no rules. It doesn’t mean chaos, and it definitely doesn’t mean I’m just hanging out.

Child-led means I’m using THEIR interests to make learning interesting.

If a child loves dinosaurs, we’re not doing flashcards. We’re making dinos ROAR, STOMP, and CHOMP and building vocabulary along the way.

The research is clear; kids learn best when they’re motivated. When they care about what they’re doing, they stay engaged longer and words actually stick.

So yes, I’m playing BUT I’m playing WITH PURPOSE. 💁🏽‍♀️

Tell me in the comments: What is YOUR child obsessed with right now? I’ll drop a language tip to go with it! 👇🏾

Raise your hand if you’ve ever felt self-conscious about your singing voice 🙋🏾‍♀️

Here’s your sign to sing anyway.

When you sing nursery rhymes and songs with your little one, you’re giving them:
🎵 Stretched out sounds that are easier to hear and imitate
🎵 Memorable words that stick because of melody
🎵 Built in repetition (yes, singing “Wheels on the Bus” for the 47th time is actually helping)
🎵 Turn taking practice—the foundation of real conversation

You don’t need to carry a tune. You just need to show up with your voice.

So, sing in the car. Sing at bath time. Sing while you’re making dinner. Your child isn’t judging your pitch (hopefully), they’re soaking up every word.

What’s your child’s favorite song right now? Drop it below 👇🏾

✨Matching sweaters, big smiles, a little silliness and a whole lot of love. However you celebrate, give yourself grace, laugh through the chaos, and soak up the little moments. Wishing you a holiday season filled with warmth, joy, and reminders to choose happiness wherever you can! ✨

Truly honored to sit at the table with such incredible leaders at Northeastern University. We work hard, shape students’ lives, lift each other up, and still find the energy to unwind together. Blessed to work with people who can grade papers, run departments, shape futures, and somehow color coordinate like it’s picture day in the North Pole. Fall semester is officially a wrap and celebration mode is fully activated!!!

Ever notice how God sends you somewhere without explanation… and then one day it all makes sense? 🌱

He plants the seed, you water it, and suddenly it grows into something bigger than you ever imagined. 🤯

Trust your instincts, trust the process, but most importantly, trust HIM. 🙏🏾💫

In schools in Antigua how do you identify students with language delays? When you notice a student with deficits, what do you typically do? Is there a protocol in the schools? Does special ed cater to a specified severity level? What’s the policies of the special education department? Like how does it work? Asking for myself. Feel free to DM me to provide me with some education. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾

I don’t think words can express how I feel! I know my work is important but other people thought so too!!! It took a minute for me to soak it in though 🥹🥹

ASHA 2025 owes me nothing. I am blessed to work in a place where I can spread my wings and the Lord really provided for this moment.
Those who know me know my face stays serious and I do not talk to people, but baby I had no choice but to network and I actually enjoyed it a little bit.

I met mentors, friends, creators, innovators, and folks I have admired for years. I even had people crying and fan girling and I stood there like… huh?

My NEU family, my day ones, and every new connection made this experience unforgettable. The table has been set for me and I am pulling up a chair.

2026 is about to be a full movie.
