Join us as we honor the longest day of the year with a sacred and energizing practice: 108 sun salutations under the evening sky.

The summer solstice marks the peak of light, a time to celebrate vitality, abundance, and the inner fire that guides transformation. From this moment forward, the days slowly begin to shorten—reminding us to absorb the light, reflect, and carry it inward.

Why 108? In yoga tradition, 108 is a powerful number symbolizing wholeness and connection. There are 108 energy lines to the heart.

8-infinity

Each sun salutation becomes a breath, a prayer, a moving meditation.

Move with us. Breathe with us. Whether you complete all 108 or take it at your own rhythm, this is a space for presence, purpose, and celebration.

Even simple myofascial release techniques can dramatically shift how your students feel in class?

💡 Try this:

Place a foam roller or therapy ball (or get creative with a yoga block on the short side) under the hip and hold for 1–2 minutes.

→ Releases Tight Gluteal Fascia
Targets the gluteus medius, minimus, and maximus, especially helpful for those who sit a lot, run or cycle, reduces gripping or clenching in the outer hip area

→ Improves Hip Mobility + Range of Motion
Frees up tension that limits hip abduction and rotation, makes poses like Warrior II, Half Moon, and Pigeon feel more open and accessible

→ Relieves Low Back and SI Joint Tension
The outer hip fascia is closely connected to the low back via the thoracolumbar fascia and IT band, releasing outer hip tension often helps decrease low back stiffness and imbalance

→ Supports Better Alignment and Gait
A tight outer hip can throw off how you walk and stand, MFR helps restore more balanced load through the pelvis and legs

→ Soothes the Nervous System
Fascia is richly innervated—when you release it, especially slowly and mindfully, it signals safety and calm to the brain, great for stress relief, especially when paired with breathwork

🔧 Good Techniques for Outer Hip Release: slowly sink in, combine with slow movements like windshield wipers afterward
