A final Senior Sunday for Gabriel, four days away from graduation. We blinked and our next kiddo is ready to head out into the great big world.

I have loved watching him grow up, such a sweet soul, loving, caring, funny.

As each one of our babies hit a milestone, it makes me appreciate all the time we’ve dedicated and spent with each of them.

Our family is first above all else, I hope he takes that with him into adulthood. I hope when he looks back at his childhood, through it all he sees how much time we dedicated to making memories with him & pushing him past fears & unknowns.

Family is our everything and yesterday morning my world stood still.

On our way to a soccer game, my mom called me because my dad had suffered a stroke that morning. We turned right back around to be with my mom and dad at the hospital.

First eyes on my dad at the hospital were not good. He didn’t immediately recognize me, told my mom I looked exactly like Elena. That hit me the hardest because I only expected the ‘typical’ stroke symptoms. The doctors had already done a CT scan & started a consult with UNMH.

Before we knew it, he was being rolled to the helicopter for his 24 minute flight to UNMH. It was there they did a procedure to remove the blood clots that caused the stroke. When we saw him after the procedure, he had already drastically improved.

Going back to the hospital this morning, my dad almost completely looked and sounded like himself. He’s not 100% but so much has so quickly improved.

A HUGE thank you to family & friends that lifted my dad (and our family) up in prayer this weekend. So many family members have already gone to see him, call /text him or my mom and friends that helped us get through these last less than 48 hours.

God is good & was with us this weekend.

On this college edition our evening was spent for pictures.

I took a few ‘behind the scenes’ shots but decided to only post pictures without her in them so she can share her favorite pictures from when she gets them.

It was a little colder than we expected so I ran back and forth putting a blanket on her & handing her a few of the props we brought along with us.

34 days until we’ll have a college graduate of the house, excited to watch her walk the stage, grateful to watch her continue to grow through the years & happy to have been able to witness tonight’s photo shoot.

The countdown begins to college graduation for She’s still working on ‘what’s next’ which may include a Master’s degree or she’ll head back home & start looking for a job.

Either way, we are super proud of her & can’t wait to celebrate her accomplishments!!

It’s Spring Break for the kids & Gabriel left on his Senior trip Friday morning. He and a few of his classmates are spending 10 days abroad, seeing Rome, Capri, Pompeii, Delphi & Athens.

An adventure not many get to experience & I’m grateful he said yes to the opportunity and hope he has a great time seeing and experiencing other Countries.

This weekend the ATC soccer team enjoyed some bowling & end of year celebration. The parents pitched in to buy coach a jersey of his favorite team, autographed it & framed it.

The team gave the seniors the opportunity to present the gift to coach.

It was the final event of high school soccer for Gabriel. It was fun to watch them spend time together, hear coach talk about each of the players & wrap up a great season.

We’ll miss these moments but grateful for them.
