The Levande by Vivie was alive with the sounds of music, the tastes of fall favorites, and the sight of smiling faces at the annual Harvest Festival and Tractor Show. Residents, team members, and guests enjoyed apple crisp, pumpkin bars, and live music from The Farmer’s Daughters, while local farmers brought their tractors for display. 🎵🚜

It was a celebration of community, tradition, and the timeless joys of the season.

Residents at Timber Pines by Vivie recently welcomed back Julie Berglund of the Pine City Area History Association—this time exploring the powerful story of the orphan trains.

From 1854 to 1929, nearly 250,000 orphaned or abandoned children in New York City were sent by train to rural communities like Pine City, in hopes of finding welcoming homes.

For many residents, this was a piece of American history they’d never heard of—an experience that sparked curiosity and highlighted the power of lifelong learning.
