Alomere Health is a team of trusted health care professionals, including Alexandria Clinic and Heartland Orthopedic Specialists, bringing innovative and individualized care to our community. Becoming Alomere Health:
For a hospital that now serves over 150 zip codes throughout central Minnesota, the name Douglas County Hospital no longer conveys who we really are. And, as an integrated healthcare organization that includes one hospital and three clinics, each operating under different names—Douglas County Hospital, Heartland Orthopedic Specialists, Alexandria Clinic and Osakis Clinic—the time has come to bring our team together under one unifying brand. The name Alomere Health represents an exciting new chapter for healthcare in central Minnesota. Nothing has changed with our mission and vision. But everything has changed with our potential. With our new name and brand, we have the focus to become even better on behalf of you—the neighbors, friends, family and community we serve. We’re incredibly proud of our history, and we look forward to our future together. For more information about our history, visit AlomereHealth.com/HereForLife.

1 in 5 men will experience anxiety in their lifetime. Around 14% will deal with depression in any given year. Yet many men suffer in silence, thinking they should just "tough it out" or that seeking help is a sign of weakness—perhaps not understanding that they’re experiencing a medical issue, not unlike chest pains.
In our latest Head to Toe podcast episode, Dr. Tony Lussenhop shares an honest conversation about men's mental health. He breaks down the real symptoms to watch for (including persistent fatigue and sleep problems), and he offers practical steps for getting help.

We loved welcoming Discovery Middle School 8th graders to our urology clinic!

Dr. Medway led demonstrations on our da Vinci robot, and students even got to try it out for themselves. Micah Christianson, RPAP Student and Julie McDonald, PA also led hands-on demonstrations with our ultrasound machines, helping students explore how this technology is used in medicine every day. It was a fun and inspiring day with our future healthcare leaders!
