Conscious breathing is one of the most powerful transformative tools available to us, yet even with the tremendous popularity of yoga today, it is largely untapped. People are astonished to realize they donโ€™t really know how to breathe. Of course everyone reading this right now is inhaling and exhaling, but it doesnโ€™t mean that theyโ€™re breathing in a way thatโ€™s going to significantly impact them.

Here are some of the health benefits of conscious breathing:

โ€ข Stronger lungs with vastly increased capacity
โ€ข A healthier heart and stronger diaphragm
โ€ข In many cases, the ability to heal asthma and also release the habit of smoking
โ€ข The nervous system is calmed, diminishing stress, lowering oneโ€™s blood pressure and heart rate, and thereby improving sleep and maintaining a more-enhanced mental state while awake
