THE REASON I DO WHAT I DO!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼
I LOVE to see these stories!! Especially right here in OUR COMMUNITY!
CPR TRAINING SAVES LIVES— this could be YOUR spouse, YOUR parent, YOUR child.
Those early actions made a measurable difference in his outcome and gave the medical team a fighting chance to do the rest. 💪
In cases where CPR is delayed or not started at all— the victim’s chance of survival is dropped by 10% EVERY MINUTE. If it takes 7 minutes for EMS to arrive (our local average response time), you’re down to 30% and likely will not have a great outcome.
Often, it isn’t a lack of caring—it’s a lack of training or confidence.
That is why I teach CPR/AED, first aid, and babysitting courses. Because knowing what to do in the first few minutes of an emergency can change everything.
Because confidence in an emergency is learned—not assumed.
And because no one should have to wonder, “What if I had known what to do?”
If you’ve ever considered CPR training—for yourself, your family, or someone you care for—this is your sign. The skills are simple, the impact is real, and the outcome can be life-changing.
A life saved. A family forever changed. ❤️
What began as a quiet Thanksgiving weekend walk turned into a life or death emergency for Shawn and Emily Martin. When Shawn suddenly collapsed from a massive heart attack, Emily jumped into action using CPR training she learned at her work two weeks earlier.
A nearby retired firefighter rushed in to help and together they kept Shawn alive until first responders arrived. Shawn was brought to St. Elizabeth, where our cardiology team says Emily’s quick action made all the difference.
Today Shawn is back at work, healthy and grateful for more holidays and milestones with his family ahead.
Their message is simple and powerful:
Learn CPR. Listen to your body. It could save a life you love.
