Hi, I’m Robin Richardson & I’m a lifelong learner who has dedicated my career to public service, collaborative partnerships & community engagement. Because I’ve lived with two chronic conditions, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, for most of my life (& didn’t know it until recently!) & I’ve had Long Covid since 2024, I’ve been on a life-long journey to feel whole. BREATHING SPACE was created to support those with chronic conditions but can benefit anyone trying to thrive in a human body. WHY MINDFULNES? Often our suffering doesn't come from our environment. It comes from our patterns, our rushing, & the stories our minds tell us. By slowing down for a moment & noticing what comes up, over time, we can literally reduce our own suffering. Mindfulness is a practice that can be uncomfortable and may take time to see the benefits just like a new workout. Our evidence-based offerings have proven to help many people alleviate much suffering, some of which have been utilized for thousands of years. I aim to make all offerings accessible regardless of experience, age, background, income or health status. In playing with mindfulness, there is no need to be intimidated or hard on yourself. πŸ”₯ To me, there's nothing better this time of year than snuggling my pups in front of the fire with a good book or movie. With temps so low & forecasts of flurries, it's easy to stay cooped up at home.

✨ But as I attend my weekly yoga, pilates & meditation classes, I'm reminded of the beauty of being in a group. Although we show up for ourselves, being together creates real magic.

❄️ And so moving into the winter season, I aim to hold bothβ€”stillness in being alone & joy in being community.

🐢🐢 Although my two little dogs don't enjoy the snow & cold, they love coming into the warm house, getting dried off & snuggling up under blankets near the fireplace.

πŸ™€ Perhaps if this isn't your favorite time of year, you can notice moments of joy, ease or surprise in contrast to the discomfort of the cold.

πŸ’™ No need to change anything. Just notice. Without judgement. Without autopilot. Without urgency. Just a moment of noticing.
