Sensory Learning Center of West Michigan

We offer a multi-sensory therapy that works simultaneously with the visual, auditory, and vestibular systems. It is a 30 day, drug-free treatment.

Autism Speaks

Today is World Autism Awareness Day. While lives and routines are completely disrupted, the autism community needs your support and kindness now, more than ever. Like every year, we are asking you to #LightItUpBlue with us today by wearing something blue and posting on social media to show the autism community that there is a world of acceptance and understanding out there.

Honoring all who have served and who are serving. Thank you to all Veterans!

Why It's So Hard to Function with 'High Functioning Autism'

Great read to better understand and the common sensory issues encountered. High functioning autism may sound like a mild disorder, but it can be extremely challenging. Find out the reasons why.

Remember This Sensory Overload Video? A New Version Came Out, and It’s Terrifyingly Awesome!

Check this out!! Multi-sensory therapy is essential! During 2016's Autism Awareness Month, the National Autistic Society published a powerful video. Now they've remade it, and it's better than ever.

Looking forward to an excellent brand new year!!

When Sensory issues are addressed, it makes what would have seemed impossible, totally possible. Makeup time before hitting the Robinhood stage! This is a boy, that before Sensory therapy, was nonverbal, had painful hearing, no eye contact, sensitivity to bright lights, and poor motor skills.

The race to the end of the calendar year has begun! We are filling up sessions at record pace and are excited to be able to help so many adults and kiddos as we wrap up a fantastic year and head into 2019 with so much energy!!

We are rounding out the year and as it usually goes, deductibles have been met and our schedule is filling up at super speed. Please don't wait until the last minute, if you are interested in checking out this amazing therapy!

Without this foundational therapy along with build upon therapies provided through the school system, this moment would have never been possible!

I can't believe that we are already at the end of 2017. We have only one session left with spots still available if you are looking at this multi-sensory therapy before the end of the year. FREE online assessment is the first step to check this out. You can go to our website at to find assessment

[09/07/17]   We are so excited to be sponsoring the Autism Family Network Annual Autism Walk, coming up in October. We have participated in this walk every year since it has started, celebrating our son Jon Jon and love seeing all the families doing the same thing.

[07/27/17]   I can't believe that we are already 2/3 of the way through the summer and our sessions are almost 100% full. It has been my pleasure to work with some amazing families and look forward to hearing about their kids' personal progress as they head into the new school year. Fall sessions are now beginning to fill, as we continue to make 2017 one the our best years yet! Thank you God, for letting me do what I love

[02/23/17]   This has been a whirlwind of a start to 2017. So many lives being positively impacted with our multisensory therapy. So, blessed to have a previous patient, now graduating from GVSU, come back to assist with therapy sessions. She will be heading to grad school to become an audiologist and wants to dedicate her life to Sensory related cases. With much emotion, she says she wants to give back, because of how this therapy totally changed her life. Makes my heart full.

[02/14/17]   Booking out to March with sessions. Complimentary in office evaluations filling this week. Best way to check this out is to go to our main website and submit the FREE online assessment and I will contact you and discuss your specific needs and see if this is a good fit as well as checking your insurance coverage.

[01/21/17]   I am so blessed to work with the most amazing kids and families providing multisensory therapy. Yes, I have to work through the weekends, but the rewards of this work can not be put into words. It is about changing lives and giving each person a real chance to achieve their full potential. I am excited for what 2017 will bring with the Sensory Learning Center of West Michigan. Yes, I am blessed

[10/18/16]   As many of you may already know, I am the only Certified Sensory Learning Provider in West Michigan. This multi-sensory therapy was originally designed specifically to target the sensory breakdowns found in and associated with autism. Research was also done for the help of PTSD and more specifically post-military personnel with phenomenal results. I am running a special group for post-military specifically, suffering from PTSD and am looking for 3 more individuals to start the Sensory Learning Therapy on Monday, Oct. 24th. There will not be any out-of-pocket cost to these individuals. The only criteria is that they need to be less than 10 years out of active duty, suffering PTSD symptoms and have completed the complimentary online assessment. Link can be found at:
*** If you know someone that would benefit from this, please share this post. I will fill spots on a first come first serve basis.

[09/23/16]   Sensory Process Disorder is more common than you may think. Many do not know that multi-sensory therapy provided by the Sensory Learning Center is covered by many insurances. We have only a limited number of spots left as we are fast approaching the end of 2016. Maybe you have already met your deductible and this may be an excellent time to participate in this life-changing therapy. Free online assessment at our home web site, see link in the comments and also no charge for initial in office evaluation.
