Our home has been incredibly blessed by our staff, residents, families, and this community and surrounding communities in so many ways and yesterday’s match day was no exception! One of our team members asked me to write a thank you informing me “you always have the right words” but as I sit here in front of my computer screen with a tear stained face and a full, humble heart…….words escape me as honestly there are no words to truly express how grateful we are to each and every person who not only donated but continue to support us and shower us with love. The work we do on a daily can be challenging and as we say often, “not for the faint of heart” but I can tell you that days like yesterday not only rejuvenate us but also remind us of our purpose and inspire our passion. Perhaps far greater than any thank you is a sincere promise to pay it forward by continuing to live out our mission and love and serve every generation the way that God taught us! From the bottom of our hearts to the tips of our toes, THANK YOU!

Stay tuned for pictures and progress on our new chapel and play area!!! It will be nothing short of amazing! Thanks again for making it possible!!

The first Heritage Home leadership retreat is in the books. Cedar Crest Lodge did not disappoint. Lots of goal discussion, food, and team bonding took place. Here's to another great year at The Heritage Home.

Huge Shout out to Allie Blume....aka Peaches or Chicken Lady:) Allie is our Senior Living Employee of the Month!

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH NOMINATION

NAME OF NOMINEE: Allie Blume

DEPARTMENT: Senior Living

ATTITUDE/CHARACTER:
Allie maintains a positive attitude in every circumstance. She is cheerful and sometimes silly and our residents enjoy joking with her. She is a team member that others enjoy working with and being around.

CONCERN FOR OTHERS/COMPASSION/SERVANT HEART:
Allie has a very calming presence and is always consistent and relaxed. She is very kind, loving, and compassionate and has developed a relationship and strong bond built on love and trust with our residents here at The Heritage Home. She has a genuine, servant heart and this is evident in the care she provides.

EXHIBITS INITIATIVE/ENTHUSIASM BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY:
Allie started in childcare and then took on a CNA role and at times was working in both Senior Living and Childcare. Allie later transitioned into a CMA role and is currently working full-time night shift. She has grown into a very competent, confident, dependable CMA and has developed leadership skills that she exhibits in her role here at Heritage Home.
Allie is willing to work extra and help out her team when it’s needed most. She is a valuable asset to The Heritage Home and respected and loved by her leadership team, fellow employees, residents, families and the childcare staff and team members.
Allie is a true blessing to all of us at The Heritage Home and we are so grateful to have her on our team!

CONGRATULATION MS. KAILIE FITZGERALD, Childcare Employee of the Month! I think the chaotic picture might say it all......working with toddlers (and/or getting them to sit still for a picture:) can be hard but Kailie shows up everyday ready to take on the challenge because she loves this work and adores her kiddos, chaos and all! Thank you Ms. Kailie for your dedication to The Heritage Home!!!!

SELECTION WILL BE BASED ON CHARACTERISTICS SUCH AS:
1) ATTITUDE/CHARACTER:
Ms. Kailie is a very consistent staff member and has been incredibly reliable as our center has continued to grow and change. She has been building on her skills and adapting her room to the needs of the class. Kailie is gentle and ever so patient. She models appropriate language for the toddlers and has worked towards goals with her continuing education and coaching to
increase her skills and tools for the classroom. Kailie is a constant in her care for the kids in her room and has stepped up her efforts to provide a stable routine and environment.
2) CONCERN FOR OTHERS/COMPASSION/SERVANT HEART:
Ms. Kailie advocates for the kids in her room and develops relationships with families to best support the children at our center. She is great at communicating and documenting to let parents know how their child’s day went, any boo-boos that needed some extra love and attention, and the activities and smiles from the kids throughout the day. Families love the pictures and the updates and Kailie captures all the fun the kids have!)

YEARS OF SERVICE/DEDICATION:
Ms. Kailie started with us shortly after we opened in November 2023. She has continued to grow throughout this time. She has been unwavering on where her passions are and the love she has for the kids and families in her care. It is so helpful to have someone who is reliable and dependable to be a steady force in their room, especially for continuity for the kids. Even on the toughest days, Kailie shows up with open arms to her kids.

4) ENHANCES WORKPLACE AND LIVES OF OTHERS:
Ms. Kailie loves when Pastor Cindy and the seniors come into her room to enjoy activities together. She teaches the kids to be gentle and kind to the seniors and is the favorite (fought over) lap for bible story time with Pastor Cindy. She loves to have her kids participate in all the activities at The Heritage Home and around the community as much as possible.

5) EXHIBITS INITIATIVE/ENTHUSIASM BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY:
Kailie has had to adjust and adapt her room as regulations and ratios have changed. This is never easy, but Kailie has stepped up to the challenge time and again. She knows what she wants for her room and asks for help as needed to meet the needs.
We are very grateful for Kailie’s dedication to our home, team, and families, sharing her love and gifts with us every day!!
