Entering 2026, we are humbly reminded of the strength and generosity of our community. We extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Bonnie Williams following the passing of an exceptional woman. As a dedicated kindergarten teacher for 32 years, Bonnie positively influenced the lives of many young people in Wabaunsee County.

The memorial donations directed to "Hot Alma Nights" in her memory are greatly appreciated. We are honored that our fund was selected as a meaningful way to commemorate her life and impact.

As we wrap our reflection of this event we want to take a moment to honor those that are no longer with us…Linda Willey and Joel Fager. For many of you reading this, they touched your lives. They were special people, devoted to their community, and will be missed by many. We extend our prayers to their families.

We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of Linda Willey, one of our 2025 major medical expense recipients.
Many of you would have met her smiling face while she worked the WB County Fair concession stand for more years than most of us were a part of the fair and can only imagine the number of children she coached in the goat project. Linda’s year’s of service on the Fair Board will be greatly missed. We extend condolences to her family, friends, and 4-H family during the difficult days ahead. We ask that you keep her family and those who knew her in your thoughts and prayers.

Last but certainly not least, the Recipient's Choice Award. This award has a very special meaning to us. This award is selected by one of our medical recipients and/or their family in certain circumstances to their favorite car of the show.

Joel Fager chose this 1966 Mustang as his pick to receive the Recipients Choice Award. All proceeds raised at our event go to our 5 medical expense recipients, with Joel being one of them. 100% stays local and when Mark Law from Topeka, KS, heard his story and the reason we do what we do - he stepped up in a big way and made a donation to our cause!

Thank you, Mark, for attending our show every year! We look forward to seeing you for the 18th Annual Hot Alma Nights Car Show next August!

The next award was our Kid's Choice Award. This award is select by the kids of our committee members that we put to work on Hot Alma Nights! We appreciate the help they give us the day of the event.

They chose this 1967 Chevelle owned by David Muir from St. George, KS. Thank you for bringing it to the show and hope to see you next year!
