What I actually study as an esthetician isn’t just “skin.”
I study a wondrous, dynamic organ that responds to chemistry, trauma, stress, hormones, environment, time, and touch.
I learn structure, the epidermis, dermis, barrier function, corneocyte behavior, lipid matrices, desmosomes, cellular turnover.
I study inflammation, wound response, pigmentation pathways, vascular responses, immune signaling.
I don't study ingredients as trends, but as messengers, how they interact with cells, how they support or disrupt function.
I study healing, restraint, timing, and patience as much as I study actives.
And here’s the part that always gets me… The deeper I delve, the more I realize how much there still is to understand.
Skin is not passive. It adapts. It remembers. It defends. It speaks.
Being an esthetician means standing at the intersection of science, intuition, and care. It is biology layered with humanity. And honestly? The more I learn, the more fascinating it becomes. Not overwhelming, just endlessly expansive.
I don’t just treat skin. I learn how to listen to it.

I wish to take a moment to say how much i value my connections and for the grace — for ourselves, for one another, and for the people I am able to serve.
