So incredibly grateful to IAFNR for the opportunity to attend this year's fellowship conference on TBI and Brain Injury! It was an incredible privilege to learn and network with these exceptional doctors (more not pictured), leaders, visionaries, and pioneers in the field of Functional Neurology as well as train on new technology available to advance research and help create future care protocols. Love this research! How Chiropractic adjustments (high velocity, low amplitude thrusts or HVLA) influence the prefrontal cortex of the brain as well as immune mediators of the body. In other words, Chiropractic adjustments have the potential to modulate and help with immune function. Have you had your spine adjusted recently?

Our Story

Dr. Denise M. (Ingrando) Pickowicz, founder and owner of Functional Chiropractic Care of New England, LLC, graduated with research honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida. She was inducted into the Chi Rho Theta Honor Society for work as a co-author in publishing an article on Orthopedic and Neurological Exam in the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine. Upon graduation, through nomination by her peers, she received the Virgil V. Strang Philosophy Award for holding true to chiropractic philosophy through words and example. She is board certified in Chiropractic as well as Physiotherapy, and has been affiliated with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association the local Chamber of Commerce and her State Chiropractic Associations. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL. Originally from New Hampshire, Dr. Denise moved back to her home state after the birth of her 1st son. After her 2nd son was born, Dr. Denise left the position she held as an associate Chiropractor for the last few years, to raise her family and eventually start her own home practice. After 7 years of owning and operating Ingrando Family Chiropractic out of her home in New Boston, NH, Dr. Denise decided to change the practice name and location to better reflect the new goals and desires she had for helping people of all ages. It was the perfect time to transition as she enrolled in the diplomate degree program in Functional Chiropractic Neurology through the world renowned Carrick Institute and wanted to further serve her patients that presented with more complex conditions. Dr. Denise’s personal life was also going through a huge shift. She met the love of her life, got married, and moved her family to a new town more North. Having a practice outside her home and located right off the highway, gave greater access to the Chiropractic services she provided. Although Dr. Denise loves working with people of all ages and a myriad of conditions, she particularly enjoys helping children and focuses her education on learning brain based strategies to assist with learning disorders, Autism spectrum disorders, childhood illness and developmental problems, and movement disorders.
