Building a business takes courage.

Building one while raising a family, dreaming bigger, and refusing to settle for a life that doesn’t feel aligned… takes even more.

Last week we celebrated local women in business with The Scout Guide Amarillo, and I left feeling so proud of this community and the dream that is Three Circle Health.

I’m a little late posting (International Women’s Day was yesterday 😅)…
but the thought still stands.

Behind many strong women is also a true man who says:
“Go for it. I believe in you.”

Grateful for mine — and for every woman building something beautiful in her own life.

✨ Here’s to the women creating their favorite version of themselves and going after what they want for HER.

10 things making you gain weight more than eating chocolate 🍫

• You’re eating based on a plan, rather than your own taste.
(You will overeat trying to find the flavor and satisfaction you’re actually craving.)

• You’re eating by the clock instead of hunger.
(You will overeat because you’re putting food into the body when it’s not ready for it.)

• You eat to avoid the thing you’ve been putting off…
or don’t even want to acknowledge is there.

• You use food to try to ground yourself after going non-stop and stressed out all day.

Things I’m officially not bringing into the New Year — and I don’t want you to either:

❌ “I’ll start over Monday / January / after I fix myself.”
You don’t need a reset. You need self-trust.

❌ Chugging water like it’s a punishment.
Hydration is great. Forcing gallons while ignoring electrolytes and digestion? Hard pass. (Yes, salt belongs here.)

❌ “Mantras are cheesy and don’t work.”
Tell that to the one that helped me shed weight and rebuild my relationship with my body over the last two years.
Your thoughts create your actions. Period. ✨

❌ Cheat days. Refeeds. Cuts. Bulks.
Let’s be honest — most of this is just restriction and binge cycles dressed up in gym language. I’m done pretending it’s empowering.

❌ Food freedom = eating everything all the time.
Nope. It means you could… but you choose what, when, and how much actually feels good in your body.
(And yes — ice cream stays invited.)

❌ “Wanting to lose weight means you’re shallow.”
Oh please. I can care about my body, my goals, and dismantle the patriarchy before lunch.

Moments like this remind me how lucky I am.
(And yes… we absolutely always commit to the 360 cam 😂)

I get to work with incredible women who are choosing happiness, self-trust, and their favorite version of themselves…and I don’t take that lightly. ✨

And through my own journey, I didn’t just find peace with food and a body I once thought was impossible… I also created a life that feels calm, full, and deeply loved. And I get to spend it with a partner I truly couldn’t have dreamed up. Sometimes life gives you even more than you imagined.

I’ll never understand why women get shamed for wanting to feel like themselves.
As if desiring strength, confidence, or feeling beautiful in your skin means you’re “ungrateful” for the version of you who walked through the fire.

Listen…
You can honor what your body has done
and still have a vision for who you want to become.

Both can exist.
Both should exist.

Wanting to shed the excess — the weight, the heaviness, the emotional load — isn’t toxic.
It’s a sign you’re listening to your body.
It’s a sign you’re done carrying what isn’t yours anymore.

And honestly?
Telling women they should just “accept it and stay stuck” is what’s actually toxic.

We’re allowed to evolve.
We’re allowed to feel good.
We’re allowed to create our next favorite version of ourselves. Whether that’s postpartum, post-stress-season, post-whatever-chapter-you’re-in. I didn’t even know for sure sometimes that the woman inside of me could ever really exist…

I loved this recipe for dinner last night so I saved some for lunch leftovers today.

What’s on my plate:
Oven-Roasted Chicken Shawarma
Jasmine rice
Sauteed eggplant
( — this eggplant was so good!!!)
Steamed asparagus
Greens with olive oil and white balsamic
Torn pita bread
Tomatoes
Cucumber
Feta cheese
Made some Greek yogurt/mayo with ketchup and vinegar from the recipe (amazing)
Hummus with a little harissa
Everythingggg drizzled in olive oil + hefty doses of pink sea salt and pepper

On the side : a plum and some blackberries

First photo: my intentional start of my lunch, seated, calm and grateful, and checked into my body and my hunger/taste/satiety cues

Second photo: my mid meal check in. It’s not actually “mid” but rather when I notice emerging signs of fullness, the taste begins to fade on most things, and my eating starts to slow down.

Time to prioritize! I choose what I have comfortable space for in my body and what is going leave me feeling light, satisfied and happy with a ton of energy to go be the Supermodel Mommy I have fun pretending to be… not tired, cranky, a bloated tummy, and yet still feeling deprived?!

But remember… these TWO ingredients are all you’ll ever need in ANY meal.

Ingredient 1: HUNGER
• Hunger = your body is chemically ready to digest food.
• That means it won’t just store it as fat, create inflammation, or cause digestive issues.

Eating when you’re NOT hungry? 👀
It usually means you’re trying to fix something else:
👉 Stress
👉 Anxiety
👉 Sadness
👉 Boredom
Or you’re following your online meal plan, the clock, or your calorie counter (again…these things aren’t always aligned with your HUNGER.)

True hunger makes food taste DELICIOUS. 😋
Your taste buds are ON. And your digestion becomes AMAZING. 🤩
You’re not just eating to numb out… or because your calorie counter (or the clock) told you it’s “time.”

Ingredient 2: GRATITUDE ✨
Gratitude makes everything in life better—including meals.

It slows you down.
Helps you savor.
And naturally guides you to stop when your body feels good.
