It was a very BUSY day for the Health Science Classes at WPHS today. Our Blood Drive was a GREAT success 🩸 Then we ran over to BSA for clinical orientation. I’m so grateful for such an AMAZING group of students who go with the flow and show up wherever they’re needed. Our Med Term and Principles students even stepped in to run the afternoon portion of the Blood Drive & they did a fantastic job!!

We got a really good pic of all of CISD’s Health Science Clinical & PCT Students at BSA’s orientation!! We are so blessed to have the best students representing our district. These are our future healthcare hero’s!!

The WPHS Blood Drive Committee is made up of 9 amazing students & is lead by our Blood Drive Coordinator, Tristan Chambers. These students are responsible for setting up & ensuring that all 3 of our Blood Drives run smoothly and are a great success. Today, the committee attended the Blood Drive Workshop with Coffee Memorial. We learned lots about why Blood donation is so important & how to host a successful drive.

It’s been a fun first week and a half & today we took our official Clinical and PCT badge pics!! Not everyone has their scrub pants in just yet so our outfits may look a bit silly but those badge pics turned out perfect!!

Happy Graduation Day to our Health Science Seniors!!! What an amazing year. You all worked so hard and I am so proud of you. Thanks for making this a super fun and awesome year!! I can’t wait to see you all walk the graduation stage tonight. This is a BIG moment!! One you will remember forever. Congratulations on all your achievements. I know that each and everyone of you will go on to do BIG things!

So proud of this guy!! Not only does he excel on the courts but he is a wonderful student. Next year, Cooper will be in the Health Science Practicum course studying Pharmacy Tech. He plans on graduating with his cert and is seeking a career as a Pharmacist. Cooper, you are going to do BIG things!!

A dominant force on the court with a 62-3 singles record across fall and spring, including 40-2 this spring alone. He stacked up a 39-match win streak, claimed 10 tournament titles, and was crowned District and Regional Champion—finishing as the Runner-Up.
