Moments like this are exactly why the Meemaw & Peepaw Project exists. Caregivers pour so much love, time, and energy into caring for others every single day. Seeing a caregiver feel seen, appreciated, and able to experience a small moment of joy for themselves means everything to us.

Today is National Caregivers Day 💜

To the caregivers — we see you.

Your love, patience, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed.
Caregiving is one of the most meaningful roles, but it can also be exhausting. Burnout is real, and it’s more common than many realize.

Signs of caregiver burnout may include:
• Feeling constantly overwhelmed or tired
• Increased stress, anxiety, or irritability
• Trouble sleeping
• Feeling alone or unsupported

If this sounds like you, please remember:
✨ Asking for help is not weakness
✨ Rest is not selfish
✨ You deserve care too

Respite services are available and can provide the break you need to recharge

Words of encouragement mean more than you know. These will be included in our Boxes of Joy.

Unopened wipes, incontinent supplies, and other hygiene essentials.

Wheelchairs, walkers, shower chairs, etc.

New blankets and sheets.

To wrap things up for today, we're committed to securing these dates for those who need them, while we continue to seek out a permanent home. After 20 years of working with individuals living with dementia, I've gained insight into the challenges of navigating grief, particularly when the emotional loss is felt long before the physical loss. The Resting Place will provide a supportive space for the ups and downs of the grieving journey. 💜
