Seriously, Fu***ng stop with all the "skinny" being the ultimate, best, most awesome version of beauty and health.

News flash: BEING SKINNY AND UNDERWEIGHT IS JUST AS UNHEALTHY AND DANGEROUS AS BEING OBESE AND MORBIDLY OBESE. THE HEALTH IMPLICATIONS OF EITHER EXTREME CAN LEAD TO EARLY DEATH.

Being skinny doesn't mean a person is healthy. In fact, a person who is seen as skinny, can have a high body fat percentage due to the lack of lean muscle mass. (This is where the term 'skinny-fat' comes from).

Being strong by increasing lean muscle mass is the key to being independent and functional as we age as well as decreasing factors for adverse health issues that can shorten lifespan.

The ones listed above are the worst, but there are many more MLMs out there pulling the same bu****it.

They use false claims (which is one of the many reasons they get sued and sanctioned), cherry-picked information to fit their narrative, and they prey on your fears to manipulate you into buying their products.

πŸ‘‰If you want to use supplements, cool, but there's a right way and a very wrong way to do so.

Why is it that we don't use the same skepticism and critical thinking, every day in our lives... Especially when it comes to our health, fitness, wellness, and nutrition? πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

There is nothing wrong with using your critical thinking skills and being skeptical!

There is so much misinformation, pseudoscience, scams, schemes, and flat out lies floating around in media and social media, especially about health, nutrition, fitness, and wellness products/programs that it makes the truth and legitimate information difficult to find.

Welcome back to the last episode of "10 Things I would NEVER say or recommend as a Certified Nutritionist" β„–10: Taking GLP-1 medication without proper guidance.

I work as a Certified Nutritionist and Fitness Professional through What the HALE Fitness and Nutrition in a Medical Health Spa called THR' IV WELLNESS REDEFINED where we have clients on GLP-1 medications. I also work as a Paramedic at THR' IV with a specific scope of practice defined by protocols and a medical director.

I currently also work as a Critical Care Paramedic on a 911 EMS service.

I understand the importance of having proper guidance when taking GLP-1 medications and nothing is more mind blowing than hearing some of the things my clients tell me about previous experiences with GLP-1 medications or stories from their friends about GLP-1 medications, or just the overall misinformation and shady practices other companies do.

At THR' IV we want our clients to have the knowledge, tools, and resources to be successful and have safe, real, sustainable results when it comes to their weight loss, health, fitness, nutrition, and wellness.

We take our eithcs both in our business practices and our medical, health, fitness, and nutrition practices VERY SERIOUSLY.

We legitimately want to help people be healthy, feel comfortable in their own skin, and have the best quality of life.
