Seriously, Fu***ng stop with all the "skinny" being the ultimate, best, most awesome version of beauty and health.
News flash: BEING SKINNY AND UNDERWEIGHT IS JUST AS UNHEALTHY AND DANGEROUS AS BEING OBESE AND MORBIDLY OBESE. THE HEALTH IMPLICATIONS OF EITHER EXTREME CAN LEAD TO EARLY DEATH.
Being skinny doesn't mean a person is healthy. In fact, a person who is seen as skinny, can have a high body fat percentage due to the lack of lean muscle mass. (This is where the term 'skinny-fat' comes from).
Being strong by increasing lean muscle mass is the key to being independent and functional as we age as well as decreasing factors for adverse health issues that can shorten lifespan.
