Collegiate Cattlemen

Collegiate Cattlemen C/C is focused on growing the next generation of beef producers through education and advocacy.

Our club is for students to have the opportunity to work with the Iowa Cattle Industry in the promotion of Beef and Consumer education. Some of our club activities include trips to feed mills, embryo transfer facilities, genetics corporations, family farm cow/calf operations, etc.

The U.S. leads the world in beef production, thanks to hardworking farmers, ranchers, and processors who keep our plates full and our economy strong.

💪 Beef is packed with nutrients like protein, B12, zinc, and iron--plus, it's used in everyday items like gum, ice cream, and even soap!

📍 Iowa ranks 7th in total cattle inventory and is a top producer of USDA Prime beef.

On Wednesday, a group of our members attended the Cattlemen at the Capitol event in Des Moines. One of the day's highlights was Governor Kim Reynolds signing the May Beef Month Proclamation--a proud moment for Iowa's cattle industry.
