Please join The Arc for this exciting event celebrating the future of our organization!

It's official, our sign is up and we hope we do the legacy of JAX proud by continuing to bring community together in the future. Please join us on Monday, September 8th at 10am at 4803 Lincoln Way as we doing a ceremonial groundbreaking and talk to you about our vision for the future of our organization. This space will be such a blessing for SO many and we want you all to share in our EXCITEMENT!!!

On Tuesday we had a summer dance with ice cream from Culver’s! A fun way to start off August! 🎉

The day I enrolled in Medicaid, I arrived at the welfare office carrying a designer bag.

Yesterday we competed in Grimes at State Softball! Everyone did great and worked hard all summer! We had athletes receive gold and bronze! Great job to all athletes who competed!

We are one week away from Jurassic Arc at Blank Park Zoo: Where Inclusion Roars!!

We have some very specific volunteer needs in order to make this event as inclusive and welcoming as possible.

From 9:30-11:45am and 11:45-2pm we need 12 volunteers to be Inclusion Expedition Guides. That is a total of 24 spots that need to be filled. This would be perfect for a parent and child or caregiver and individual with disabilities.

Help facilitate:
*Giraffe feeding
*Assist with board and disembarking from the train
*Supervise the Dino Digging area near the playground
*Parakeet encounters

From 11:45-2pm we need 7 Dino Documentarians who will interview participants, take pictures and video of the participants.

Super exciting news! Two athletes at The Arc of Story County were picked to represent Team Iowa at USA Games next June in Minnesota! One of our coaches has also been selected! We are super excited for Justin, Landon and Dakotah to represent Team Iowa! Congratulations and we are so excited to cheer you on!
