Cooler temps bring with them increased moxa use in my practice. Burning moxa during treatment is such a joy and is incredibly therapeutic. Did you know that moxa smoke has been shown as anitviral and antifungal, therefore, can be used as an air disinfectant (Deng & Shen, 2013)?

Interesting and well-written article comparing Traditional Chinese Medicine and AI. TCM is an independent system of medicine that accounts for the complex interconnectedness of our emotional, mental and spiritual health with the world around us. It uses an individualized holistic approach towards care and a unique language that is challenging not only to translate into modern biomedicine but to study with research that requires standardization, such as randomized controlled trials.
